Well I was so excited for my electric throw to arrive because it's cold at work, first of all I cannot stand the smell of the blanket it has a fishy smell, WHY? :( and second I noticed immediately that it sheds which is super disappointing when you pay that much for a blanket it should be nothing less than great!!!

This is a soft, cozy throw that has the added bonus of electric warmth. I ordered it because I am always cold and my husband is always hot. He does not want an electric blanket (or really any blanket) on the bed, while I would like to have two or three. Because I am short (5'1"), this throw is big enough for me to sleep under, but small enough to keep on my side of the bed so my husband doesn't complain about the added heat.I have rated this product only four stars because (1) it is described as "fuzzy soft knit" on one side with "sherpa reverse." In fact, both sides of mine are identical--not necessarily a bad thing, but a customer should get what is promised; and (2) I would have liked a longer shut-off timer (since I sleep with this throw all night). I realize it wasn't designed for sleeping, but a longer timer seems like such a minor addition, and three hours isn't even enough to get a person through a decent session of binge watching TV. If I could sleep through the night without waking up with my teeth chattering because I'd used up my three hours of warmth, I would happily give this product five stars. Still, I can warmly recommend it to others for its intended length of use.
