The item arrived on time . The first VHS tape I put in was of old family movies . The machine did play it , however it was rather grainy and skipping . When I stopped the tape and tried to remove it I found that it would not eject . After many attempts I ended up taking the player apart to salvage my tape ( which was damaged , having some folded up tape that had not rewound ) . Inspection of the player indicated that the structural parts of the tape holder were bent out of line and the tape door would not open . This internal , structural defect should have been detected by the seller when testing prior to shipping . I decided it was not worth my time to try to return it . I have also tried to provide this review before but it was rejected by Amazon . They never rejected any of my positive reviews . I do not recommend this seller . If you decide to try one of their players I suggest using a tape that you do not care about as a first test .

Arrived promptly and was as advertised. Only a few small scratches on top that are to be expected with a used unit. Cables were included with the VCR. Worked well. Happy with the purchase.

It works, which is why I got it, so I can view my old tapes for possible transfer to DVD. The remote does not work.
