My copper pipes where getting pin holes so replace with plastic. These work great because they fit plastic and copper pipe of same size. I did the plumbing myself and was able to have water back on evet night. You can put these and take off and use over.

Eliminate soldering with these unions. They are made in all kinds of different joints. They are a breeze to use and they have been proven to hold as well as solder joints. Love em.

I didn’t use this kit to install a water heater, but instead a water meter for my barn water system. Measured my CPVC pipe, cut, installed meter slid everything back into position, DONE!!! No glue or leaks LOVE IT!

love the shark bite products and while some people say that they are pricey, I feel that they are a great value for the ability to remove and reinstall and don't think that the price is to high for that ability. Have used quite a few so far, all have performed flawlessly.

Nothing like sharkbiteAs an old plumber , these connectors are reliable and trouble free !No worries , slip orange ring over pipe slide up , pipe is released safely .

I can understand being skeptical of using these for somewhere as critical as connecting to your water heater, however these things are working great for me. Our water heater had cpvc and pvc connections going into the tank, and there wasnt a way to disconnect the fittings without cutting the lines. That's not a great thing when you want to check / replace your cold water dip tube. I cut the line,popped it on in no time without needing any cpvc cement, crossed my fingers, and turned the water back on. I will say that i was nervous about the fitting being able to swivel like it does, but after almost a year, I'm not nervous anymore :PUpdate 7/24/2016. I have since installed a new water heater and changing the sharkbites from my old one to the new one was super easy. Well worth it.
