If using on a drill press, you can add an annual cutter arbor to adapt your press to use these bits. These cut much faster than a regular drill bit. These are really nice large cutting bits. You don't see these larger sizes in many drill bit sets. I use oil while cutting, as to not shorten the life of my bits. Makes nice quick cuts.

Expensive but a good kit with a good depth. If you need to cut through metal, these will do. Hoping the carbide allows them to last some time.

Needed strong cutter for punching holes into metal plate. Works great on my drill press, cutting multiple holes on template for metal project. Cutting carbide cutter leaves a clean hole after. Recommend cutter for your metal use.

These are my first annular cutters. I am using them in a vertical milling machine. They cut very cleanly and turn a lot less metal into swarf than using an endmill or boring head. (Of course, the plug that remains probably won't end up being a piece of metal that I will be able to make some use of, but hope springs eternal.) I like that I can get much closer to the final bore size in one pass instead of the more tedious process of gradually expanding the hole using a boring head. I now wish that I had made the leap to annular cutters a lot sooner.
