The sensors work great and I was eventually able to connect to my smartthings station. However you have to take to tab out only when you are actively searching for a new device on your hub.You may also need to buy new batteries for this sensor as one was completely dead and was giving me trouble connecting. Other than that it works fine.

Terrible Open/Close Sensors with Smarthings, Complete lack of customer service from SengledI recently purchased four boxes of these 2 pack Sengled Smart Window & Door Sensors. I paired them directly to my Smarthings Zigbee Hub with no issues and they worked flawlessly day 1. Day 2, all devices show as OFFLINE in Smarthings. The only way they come online is to open the window the sensors are installed on to “wake them”, however no ALERT is sent identifying the window is OPEN until the window is then CLOSED. This is a huge security flaw and the devices must be on all the time to alert me when a window or door opens initially, not when it’s shut after. I contacted Sengled support via their phone number.Well, they shut down their phone lines and are email only now. Email was sent a week ago and still no response. Follow up sent a few days ago and still awaiting first contact. Did confirm email address matches the one on their website and the phone line.Unsure if all of these 8 devices are bad (sounds implausible) or just terrible product design (more likely). Terrible customer service. Will be returning all of these and not dealing with Sengled ever again. Please note, I have dozens of other zigbee devices (like these) connected to the Smarthings hub for years with no issues. These are the first smarthome devices I’ve ever seen all go offline like this.

As others have mentioned, this is a good product but not straight forward to set up. Directions are not good but if your tech savvy you will figure it out

I bought these to use with Home Assistant. I had no problem pairing them and they've worked great. They batteries were at about 60% out of the box, but that seems to be a thing with a lot of devices these days. I've used them on multiple doors and have had no issues with the signal getting sent to the controller.

I had issues pairing the door sensors with smartthings. What I found worked was in the new ST app, I SCANNED FOR NEARBY DEVICES, then pressed the sensor reset button 4-8 secs, the red LED flashed twice, after a minute, the ST app found the sensor. When I tied to add device by brand, either scan the sensors QR code or skipping that step, it would not add the sensor. even if I pulled the battery, or held reset button 4-8 secs, did not add for me. ONLY the SCAN FOR NEARBY DEVICES worked after reset button 4-8 secs. I also manually added the nyce-open-closed-sensor.groovy device handler in smartthings IDE, not sure if I needed to, but that was the device handler automatically added to the new sensors for me. Hope this info helps someone.

Terrible product. Paired quickly with smartthings hub, however 3 weeks later I check and both sensors are offline. The only way to get them to reconnect is to open and close the doors repeatedly which defies the point. Don't waste your money. I'm 2 days behind the return window so in the garbage they go.

No complaints. Easy to add to Smartthings hub. Would like to see the magnet be a bit stronger so the terminals could be installed a little bit further apart, but all in all a good product.

These Sensors worked Great as additional to my kit of Smartthings Sensors except these DO NOT have temperature or vibration Sensors built into them. These are not as thick as the Smartthings ones and uses a different smaller battery, so upon install to a door or window you may have to add a spacer to make them even if your door/window is deeper than the frame or install the thicker part to the door and Skinner part to the frame. I was hoping these would show up themselves to the Smartthing app but you have to go add a device then select Sengled as brand and pick Open/Closed Sensor then continue with setup. So far they keep working correctly and never had a false detect or No detect as I used this on highly frequently open and closed door (Kitchen to Garage) so far been almost a month battery life is still 100% on battery life.

These were really easy to install and I was able to link them no problem using SmartThings as my hub, but one thing I kept running into was, the devices would go offline and I would have to open the window in order to bring them back online. I called the manufacturer and asked about this and they said that that feature was built in to the product to save battery life. But, one major issue with this is that when you open the window to bring it back online the sensor would read closed even though the window was open you had to then close the window and then open it again for it to read open. This does not work for security purposes. I tried testing this in multiple ways, because the manufacturer assured me that the sensor should read open when coming back online, but every single time the sensor would read closed after coming back from being offline. If you use these in locations where you would be opening and closing the sensor often then there would be no problem, this would be a great choice, but if you're using them on Windows that rarely get opened then that would be an issue.

SENGLED SMART WINDOW & DOOR SENSORS:-affordable-easy to set up-user-friendly-seamless design-Compete with the big brands such as smartthings and PhillipsSet a routine with your Alexa to tell you when your windows or doors are open or if they’re open for sometime to remind you that they’re still open and needs to be closedThis brand on a whole is awesome. I live in jamaica And I started to create a smart home project within my own home one of the things that bothered me was that when I did the exchange rate some of the smart home devices were so expensiveHowever SENGLED offered an affordable way to build my smart home with easy to set up Bulbs, sensors and so forth. In the Caribbean or Wi-Fi can be a little bit intermittent but Sengled somehow has been able to work with my Wi-Fi system here on the islands. The sensor is easy to set up ....but it must be used with a hub ....my suggestion is you go with a bundle package from SENGLED to get the hub with a bulb to start your smart home setupOnce you have the hub you’re able to connectover 100 other devices onto that hubThey’re a growing company and as such I am happy to continue to grow in my smart home with themI’m looking forward for them to have motion sensors and cameras, door locks, garage door opener and everything else a smart home may need
