I used Rust Mort on some auto body work and found it effective in removing and converting rust. So far, it has performed well, leaving the treated areas clean and ready for further work. Rust Mort is a reliable product for tackling rust issues, especially on auto body surfaces.

A+++, It is being used on vintage vehicle chassis after large rust removal. It converts any small amount of rust prior to paint application. Its best used by placing some on a rag or foam brush and applying it to the metal.

Be sure you have no oil or grease on the area to be treated. Took a lot of brake spray and towels to clean the floor before the product did it's job.

My last bottle lasted 30 years! A little goes a long way. This stuff really works. I give it a coat then leave it overnight. give a little sanding to see if it has penetrated thru'. If you see more rust coat it again and leave overnight. Follow instructions - wash it off before you prime AND be careful, this product contains acid!

You have to really babysit this stuff. Keep it wet (intermittently brushing on) for hours. In between applications, you need to scrape, scratch and wire brush the rust off. What’s left turns black and solid.

Been using Rust Mort in my body shop since 1985. Works best if you sand the rusted area, then apply rust mort. let it dry. then paint over it. a very light sanding with a super fine sandpaper will help make the spot repaired un-noticeable.

SEM 69508 Rust Mort - 1 Pint - sold by SEMI am new to using rust stop products. My review is strictly what I saw when I used the product.Rust is not our friend and in particular, CHROME. I have a motorcycle that is rather rust heavy. My concern started with the spoked wheels, all chrome. Rust had started and was looking pretty bad. Well in a motorcycle, any rust is bad. This was reviewed as an answer and youtube also recommended it. However take heed of the usage warnings. This can be some bad stuff if you get it on you and if someone/something swallows it, it is hospital time.My Mcycle wheels started rusting so cleaning it up made them look much better. I applied this and kept it wet for a couple hours. I wanted the chemestry to change completely. The rust will turn a darker color, then I washed it off. You need to seal the area, on a car you would prime and paint. As this was chrome, that was not an option. I bought some of that Dip Your Car media in clear and sealed the rim with that. This stuff is supposed to be able to make a good seal and is removable if I need to rechrome the wheel. At this point, the wheel looks good, the rust has been stopped and treated. Lets face it, if you have rust, that's a problem and if you have chrome with rust, that's worse. A car can be treated, primed and painted, but you have to treat the chrome differently. I think my plan may work well.Yeah, I'd recommend this product.I do not know this seller and am not associated and did not receive any product or monies for my review.180703 1511

Took care of my cars rust problem - very happy with the results ( FYI it smells really bad - air out car if treating rust inside car or in closed spaces)
