These are quite functional for seed starting. They are more sturdy than I was expecting. Once that little coneflower sprout became a bit bigger, I transferred it to the ground so much easier than when I tried the plastic ones. I love how nicely it fits in the little hole in the ground. The thickness of the little pot is perfect.

I really like these planter cups. They're small enough to fit a lot on each shelf under my grow lights while being big enough that I won't need to up-pot most, if any of my seedlings before they can go outside. My favorite part of using these is that when I plant I don't have to pull the plants out of the cup or disturb the root system at all. I just tear off the bottom of the pot so the roots can come out, then plant the whole thing in the ground. The only downside to using these is that the outside gets moist and several have gotten mold on the outside

These pots are great for sizing up seedlings to plant in the ground. Great size and easy to use. These are not good for bottom watering and will fall apart if they are wet for too long.

Work well for seedings… only time will tell how well they decompose

These sturdy trays securely hold numerous peat pots as seeds sprout indoors, preparing for the warm planting season. Now I am buying trays and pots for gifts for friends who have difficulty getting to the store.

I love these round biodegradable peat cups with drainage holes. They are great for starting seeds and you can put them right in the ground when you plant them. I’ve saved money by only filling them with starting soil and not buying so many large bags fill the garden. I’ll definitely use them from now on.

UPDATE: Well, gave them the benefit of the doubt. 0 Stars. Completely moldy after only a few weeks. Waste of time and money. Let the soil dry between watering even. Moldiest things I've ever seen.ORIGINAL: I've bought many peat pots over the years and these have no peat in them, if they do, it's negligible. They are some kind of compressed paperlike material. My first picture , the left pot is this product, the larger pot on the left is 100% peat. The material is nowhere near the same in any way. Having said that, they are still biodegradable and will do their job, plus the price is excellent. I'll be using them to grow out seedlings before their outdoor home.
