The See All round rectangular acrylic outdoor convex security mirror is a rectangular convex glass mirror with two rounded sides that reflects a wide angle image at a diminished size to extend a field of view to help a person see around obstacles for safety, or monitor a wide area for efficient surveillance. The rounded rectangular shape fits in smaller places than circular mirrors, while providing the same wide angle view. Also, when mounted horizontally, it reflects less glare from the sun or overhead lighting. Acrylic is shatter resistant, weighs less than glass, and reflects a clear, bright image. The mirror comes with mounting hardware that makes the mirror angle adjustable after installation. It has an ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) backing for resistance to impact and wear, with a vinyl-coated aluminum edge for weather resistance in outdoor applications. Width is measured from the widest points on the rounded sides.

Safety mirrors are used to help increase visibility in a variety of locations; for example, in hallway intersections and sharp turns, and in driveways and loading docks where drivers have to back up or enter traffic. Safety mirrors are sometimes called security mirrors, and they can be used to extend the view of security personnel, or to help monitor factory workers and automated processes to improve quality control and productivity. For convex mirrors, objects will appear to be further away than they are, and will be easier to see in a larger mirror. Depending on visibility conditions and the viewer's eyesight, objects will usually be recognizable within about 1 ft. of distance (including distance from eye to mirror, and from mirror to object) for each inch in mirror diameter.

See All Industries manufactures safety and security mirrors. The company, founded in 1958, is headquartered in Chicago, IL.

I use this in my dog kennel so I can see what everyone is up to from the comfort of the heated garage. Clear vision and a great size.

We had to bore out the holes on both sides because they didn't line up with the back mounts on the mirror. Time will tell if it holds up. There's a slight wave in the center of the mirror as well. We only use it to see around a slight bend pulling out of our driveway, so it serves its purpose. Overall though, if I had to replace it I'd look for another brand.

We put it up for drivers at a blind corner next to our laneway house. Since its installation, the number of cars honking as they navigate the corner has cut down dramatically. We're very happy.

This mirror allows us to see incoming traffic at a blind corner near our homes. Everyone feels safer now because we can definitely tell if the road is clear or we should wait before turning left. Four neighbors chipped in for this mirror, $30 each and feel good that we are so much safer on our way home. I would highly recommend it.

I hung this up on the tree in front of my house so that I can see all of my doors and windows from each of my doors and windows. (Makes checking that the kids closed the garage door a lot more convenient...) And I can see who's at the front door before I answer it. It's been outside in the summer wind and rain for six months - holding up great, looks clear and clean. Sharp reflection. It was advertised as and 'outdoor' mirror. We'll see how it fares over the winter.

The elderly lady I bought this for loves it. She has a difficult time getting out of her chair so she knows who is at the door before she opens it...or doesn't,

We used this mirror to increase the sunlight into a small garden in the early morning hours. Worked perfectly. Everything comes as advertised, and is of higher quality than you would have guessed. Mounts quickly and all the hardware is substantial enough for outdoor use, holds the mirror in position tightly, etc. The mirror edge is covered with a very tough nylon like material that should last the life of the mirror. I suspect this mirror will last 5-10 years easily (less storm risk). We plan to demount over the winter obviously. But, a good value for the money.

The outdoor version has two connecting bars and is much sturdier overall. Note that the field of view is wider than the indoor version, which may be good or bad depending on your application because everything is smaller and distances are more difficult to judge. Used in a home garage.

I just received this product today.I noticed the box is labeled "Fragile; Contains Glass". So I came back online to confirm that I ordered the acrylic version. It looks amazingly like glass surrounded by a nice quality textured, rubberized black edge. Seems to be the perfect product for the application I intend to use it.
