Bought these for my 8 yr old to crawl around on the floor when he does “lizard mode.” Pants were getting holy knees. He puts all of it on, only needs help with the elbow pads.More comfortable over clothes than on skin.

I bought these for my 4 year old, and they have been a great purchase! He loves his first set of "skates" and buying these was a fantastic idea, since he falls quite a bit. He loves the gloves, he likes to wear them out like accessory gloves. I'm going to have to buy him a pair of thin fingerless gloves just so he'll stop wearing these out and about (before he loses one!) hahahaThe gloves, knee pads, and elbow pads all fit him fantasticly. I don't think the gloves will fit him in a few years, but I'm sure the knee pads and the elbow pads will. The quality, as far as I can tell, is really good. They've held up to my 4 year old and other children who come over for play dates. I've had no problems with the Velcro or with the hard case around the knee and elbow. The gloves don't have any holes or tears in them yet. Overall I think they were a great purchase.

Our little girl (age 2) loves the graphics enough to wear these. They seem to function fine and have obviously saved her knees on occasion. The knee and elbow pads are more forgiving as far as size. The gloves are still a bit too big for our little one (average to above average height, a little below average weight).

I had previously purchased one of these for the granddaughter. She's been using hers for about a year. This is for the grandson. While the gloves are still too big (he's 2) and we use the elbow pads on his knees.... he'll grow in to them and loves to be like the 'big' kids. I like that the velcro is sewn on good as these take a lot of abuse from the kids.

My twin boys are still too small for these but I bought 2 sets after buying the girl's version for my 2-year old daughter. Since I compared the two and the difference is only the color I thought the review might be helpful here as well. The set is really small but all the pieces fit her perfectly. I uploaded a picture of her in them to the page for the girl's set if it helps to see them on someone tiny. I was looking around my house for something for reference the size and the best I could come up with was a coke can - the pads fit pretty snug around the can and were just a touch taller than it.As for the protection it should do just fine against scrapes and minor bumps. It won't do much to absorb a fall but will provide a good enough buffer between their knees and the concrete. Considering my daughter is on a small skateboard under supervision on sidewalks and probably wont get much speed at all these should protect her very well. Any fall with increased force or speed and I cant see these really doing much to protect her since there's nothing in these to actually absorb an impact.

I was looking for Knee and Elbow pads for our Grandson. He is just learning to ride his bike. I was not able to find small enough ones at the local stores so I purchased these. The reviews looked good and said they would fit smaller kids. My grandson is 4 years old and the Velcro will fit snug around him. I would like them to be more molded to fit him. They do not flex much and are cheaply made. I would rather pay more money for a nicer pair. I guess it does the job.

I got these for my 3 yo grandson along with a matching helmet and he loves them. I have to admit he looks pretty cute riding his bike in the back yard. And they seem to help if he slips off. They fit well. He is a little above average in size for his age and there have been no issues.

My son is around 41" tallish, probably weighing in the high 30s (lbs.).These fit great and probably will fit fine for another year or two. (Saw another reviewer say their 6 year old, 52 pounds and 45" tall child had these pads fit perfectly.)I ordered these to have my son learn to ride the bike without training wheels, but have also used it for him to ride a Razor scooter. They are absolutely necessary for the scooter. I have not tried getting him to ride the bike sans training wheels yet.Protection wise, they work well. He's taken several spills so far, and the only downside is that the transparent plastic that covers the reptilian pattern underneath is less visible due to the scratches on the plastic pad itself. In fact, I should mention that I liked them so much that, after buying a set for me, I bought my parents a set so that my son will have a set handy when he visits them after school.Definitely recommended!
