Item works better than original Yaesu charger. It is 1 amp where the Yaesu is 0.5 amp. This one charged perfectly with radio or battery alone. Red charge, green full and has over charge protection. If you insert an already charged battery, it will not try to top off! Also tried wall cube and my USBC small adapter with 1ft USBC to USBC cable to charge base. Worked 100%.

Ft-70 slides in well, and spare batteries fit fine too.Has enough weight to it to make it stay where you put it.Oem charger works fine with it.The charger that comes with it is a cheap oneCan use radio while charging..

terrible it never fit my radio correctly the guides for the grooves on the battery were to night and space too narrow so doomed from the start. The power pins got bent whenever i could insert radio. I was always trying to fix it and it just was a nightmare to use. I finally just threw it away because I’d had it too long. Do not buy. It’s not worth the headache, move onto the next one price the same.
