I love this adapter for my set up, I have a bag with a lumbar water bladder that is easily accessible so I didn't need to splice the actual hose. This makes filtering water on long hikes super easy.

This is the exact same connection as the HydroPak Quick Disconnect. Even better is that you get 2 for the price of one from HydroPak. No leaks and no mods required. Just plug it into a 1/4" tube end and you can quickly convert any of the Sawyers into a QD for the HydroPak. Learned on youtube from a guy called PreparedAirman that you can QD two HydroPaks and a Sawyer in the middle for a quick and easy Gravity filter.

I couldn't find this info online. If you take the katadyn befree and you remove by unscrewing the clear plastic flip cap, the filter thread size is a perfect fit for the fast fill adapter. Camelbak antidote drinking tube has a removable mouth piece thats attached to the tube via quick connect. The connector is the same as the one on the Fast Fill Adapter.

I read a review that said it didn’t fit the Camelbak Crux hydration hose. That is true - it doesn’t. However, that’s no reason not to purchase this product. The sawyer fast fill adapter says it fits bladders with 1/4” hose. The Camelbak Crux specs say that the hose is 5/16” inside diameter. For a few extra dollars, all I did was search on here for 1/4” to 5/16” hose adapter and it works just fine. I cut a 1 1/2” piece of 1/4” tubing that came with the sawyer squeeze and attached as shown.

This is the missing key. And the cheapest option for filling various containers.Situation: filtering water by hanging a bag in a tree, for unattended gravity filtration, but no easy way to connect the output to various bags and containers.I paired it with a "lifestraw" bag filter. The lifestraw has a nice input, but the output is just a barb. That's ok for filling a reservoir via the drinking hose (remove the bite adaptor), but that doesn't help if you are sharing water with multiple people and don't share hydration packs. These adatptors allow you to put the clean water in a bag or soda bottle.

We almost didn't get these for our Pacific Crest Trail section hike. We planned to use some really good water bottles my daughter bought us, but realized how inconvenient it was to get to those in the side pockets of our packs. It was simple to cut the line, insert this, and then switch out the bite valve on our camelbaks for the adapter. Just hold the tube up so any water in your pack doesn't get all over! I only made that mistake once!eWe refilled our pack bladders several times over the course of nearly a week of natural-water collecting, and the connector worked great every time. We'll keep these for a long time!I'm so glad we did this since it meant that we didn't need to take our bladders out of our packs, fill them (getting them wet), and them try to get them BACK into our packs with all the other stuff in there! We used water bottles when we had to, but this made a big difference!Would I buy one again? If these things wear out, I'll definitely buy more!
