Ease to use
- 1. Connect the finder to the LNB on the receiver and antenna
- 2. Adjust the knob on the front panel of the star finder so that the pointer on the dial points to the position of "5"
- 3. Adjust the antenna azimuth and elevation Angle, when star finder pointer to maximum deflection Angle, counterclockwise to adjust knob on the front panel, to make the part of the received signal attenuation, and adjust the antenna azimuth, elevation and polarization Angle of LNB, until star finder pointer no longer increase
- 4. The satellite receiver is used to determine whether the signal is the required star signal; If so, remove the finder and reconnect the receiver to the LNB; If the received signal is not the required star signal, repeat the above work

This may work fine for helping you locate your satellite dish, but it doesn't work at all for helping you get your antenna set up. It doesn't detect. I just had to send it back.

My Winegard DTV dish antenna stoped working. I needed to figure out what is going on. It couldn't find the satellite for the life of it. I got this meter with the expectation of manually moving the dish to find the satellite and figure out what was going on. I hooked it up and nada, nothing, and the meter never moved. It turned out to be a bad coax cable and once I installed the new one, the TV worked again. Once I had the satellite dish locked onto the satellite, I reinstalled this meter inline again and it didn't read at all, meaning it flat out didn't work. The lights came on but the meter never moved off of 0 even moing the dish around. Totally worthless

Easy to use, not only can you use it to maximize your satellite signal strength, you can use it to trouble shoot other issues. For example, if the coax cable that connects the receiver to your dish does not show power on the device then chances are the cable is defective.

I bought this to test the signal strength from my external TV aerial, as advertised by seller.Nothing worked, no reading, no lights. Tried both ways of wiring but nothing.Waste of money. Very disappointing, not worth one star.

I ordered this Satellite finder to help get the best signal and it didn't work for me, I don't know why but I followed directions and could not get it to detect a strong signal fact is I had better luck moving the dish.I would try something else.

I was in need of this digital satellite finder. I have spend hours trying to find a good signal for my outdoor antenna. I would go outside and turn the satellite and go into the house to see if the channels would come in. It got to the point where I would place the tv by the window in order for me to see if I had a good signal. Those days are over with this satellite finder. I like that satellite is very compact so I can take it anywhere. I like that the satellite finder is very accurate. I like that its very simple to use. I like that it has the red/green light the let you know if you have a good signal. This is a great doctor for your satellite.
