These microphones are great for the money. They are extremely light but don't feel like they lack too much hardiness. There is this weird elastic band at the bottom that tends to get caught on the mic clip but I just took that off. I think a factor of these microphones' being so light there is definitely a pronounced proximity effect but I was expecting that at this price and a little bit of eq help goes a long way. One thing I noticed about this microphone is that it is easy to get apart for repairs also; I have run into microphones that absolutely didn't want to come apart so this was appreciated too. All in all it works pretty well for my needs.

I recently ran sound for a gig with multiple performers on 2 stages. One band would be setting up on one stage, so they could be ready to go as soon as the other band finished on the other stage. I needed more mics, and I didn’t have enough SM 58s to cover both stages. Budget didn’t allow spending $1000 for more mics, so I bought these instead. I have been in the music industry for over 50 years, as a performing musician, recording engineer, FOH and monitor engineer......these mics completly blew me away! They sounded every bit as good as the industry standard Shure SM 58, with no feedback issues like many other cheap mics. I haven’t used them long enough to see how durable they will be, but for the price, I’m not to worried if they don’t last forever. Who knows, they might! Highly recommended!

These mic's are one of the best deals you can get on a mic. I bought some for my self after my audio editing professor recommended them. When my church asked me for a suggestion on a microphone because we were adding a new singer I suggested these. I was able to compare them to the churches Sure SM 58's and the sound was almost identical and at the price you cant beat it.

Bought these mics for our DJ business for Karaoke. Used them for an event last weekend and the person holding the mic was moving around a lot and re-adjusting their grip and every little movement of them holding the mic was coming through the mains. I could have probably been able to adjust some of that in EQ but didn't get that far since they only spoke for a couple mins. When the mic was in a stand and not being held, it actually sounded pretty good. HEADS UP- the clips that come with these mics don't fit a standard mic stand!!! Great buy for some basic karaoke mics.

mics are worth $20 each. not great vocal quality but what do you expect for $20 a mic. case is ok as well. I have my Shure SM58's in the case and they fit perfectly. That was the reason I bought this item was for the case. I am happy.

I've owned the R21 kit for a while now and have put them through 7 music gigs, 3 speaking events, and 15 rehearsals. The R21 is clear, good quality and delivers when I need it to. If they get beat up, I'm not too worried. Not only can they take it, but they're also at a great price to get more. I like the case as it has a harder foam for protection. You get mic clips and everything is contained in the case.Typically the build quality on cheaper mics isn't the greatest. However, I have several Samson products and not one of them has had an issue in QC. The R21 is no different here. Each mic was tested by the same vocalist to watch levels, we opened up the mics and all solder joints were well done. The connection of the XLR pins to the cable was strong. These can pick up stand noise, which can be modified through shock mount, or small felt strips on mic clip. The eq is subjective as each voice is a bit different. What I have heard is a muffle in the upper mids and a bit of a boost in the lower mids. Great pickup pattern, an not bad isolation when pointed away from a sound source (which was shocking in a good way)Downfall though for one of the vocalists I work with was lack of an on/off switch. I could see this being an issue in situations where a switch is needed. I run a mute switch (Mic Mute/Cough-Drop) on stage eliminating the need for switches. Some individuals like having a switch also.

These are great. I run mobile DJ & karaoke and these mics are worth way more than I paid. I got them for a low cost backup over a year ago and didnt want to post a review until i had time to test them out, but i use them more than my other mics now. Only drawback I have is they seem to run a bit hot on the high end for vocals. Have to turn the mixer EQ down. But overall they are sturdy and can stand up to the abuse one gets when running a karaoke show. Will be buying more in the future, Highly recommend if need a great set of budget mics.

Mikes are over-priced in Amazon, (actual cost per mike is almost half)...However the product itself is very very good for its price range. Must buy

To you you the truth, you have to be right up on these to get a good signal, still response though. If working in a big room these are great. Doing a podcast with these mics is perfect. Reduction in ambient noise and no bleed from other people or noise sources. If using air con in a room, these mics will suit your purpose. No on or off button is a let down. Sturdy build quality while not having the heavy weight of similar style dynamic mics. Good if you are using it without a stand for a long period of time. Very sturdy case and good mic clips should help to tip a buyer into getting a set of these mics. Even if you only use these as back up mics, grab a set and there will be no regret!

Yes - you have to get closer to these mics, but I had to push them VERY HARD to get them to feed back. Even with the Gain pushed high and the levels cranked, they had to be less than 8" from the monitors before they screeched. If you want a better microphone, you'll have to spend a lot more money. As a producer with a decade of experience, I recommend these for the following:1. Start-ups. If you're a new band, or just building your system and are on a tight budget, start with these until you can seriously upgrade.2. Noisy venues - such as small bars. They allow for levels to be pushed harder without picking up all of the background chatter.3. Vocal only shows (such as Stand up comedy or speeches), these are exactly what you need.*NOTE, I tried using this to mic an acoustic guitar, and it didn't work well for that. But was great for vocals.*Reminder - if you find you're getting feedback on one of these, remember to turn your mids down a bit. Issue resolved =)
