Works great on 1/2” drywall. A little slower on 5/8” drywall, but unless you are using all day at a Professional level, gets the job done.

Works great. Ran this on an adapter with 20v dewalt batteries. Even the rotary bit supplied with the tool hung in there much longer than a supply of Roto-zip bits. I cut 5 windows, 9 door openings, and numerous outlet & switch boxes with the one supplied bit. After much of that, I decided to swap with a fresh rotozip bit. The rotozip bit didn’t hold up and I put the original RYOBI bit back in.Anyway, for the cost, the tool works well and am glad I bought it. Definitely better than using the old corded rotozip.

It's a Ryobi tool. What do you expect? High quality, rugged tool that does its job. The tool cut through drywall like butter.

I own over 20 Ryobi one+tools and generally they are off great quality, this item though was disappointing

This thing is a nightmare to use. The concept is solid, but it's like choosing a lion as a pet. Bad things are bound to happen. It grabs at certain points and you just can't control it. I tried it like 3 times to cut out stuff while drywalling and went back to measuring and cutting with a drywall saw. I love Ryobi stuff and own a bunch of it. But I'm done with this thing.
