Like title states, this adapter works fine, but adds a a light hum to the Wii menu screen and some game menu screens. The hum was not present (or at least not noticeable) during gameplay.Have used it for over a year, with no additional issues.

My kids hadn’t been able to play with the Wii ever since we upgraded our TV since the new TV does not have the audio/visual hook ups. This converter made hooking it up easy!

Bought a new TV and had problems with the hook up. Needed some kind of adapter in place of rca cables. Read reviews and decide to buy. This adapter is fantastic. Hook up was easy and ran sound cable direct into my receiver. The quality is great no drop off at all. Bought a second to have on hand. Highly recommend.

This was easy to install, but during usage, I could see faint lines going from corner to corner of the screen. I tried flipping from one internal resolution to another, but no change on my 4K TV. This was mainly for my parents, and they don't seem to mind. Other than that, graphics are crisper and I can use this as RCA cables fade out.

My wife plays Just Dance on the original Wii - not the overpriced Wii-U nor the garbage Wii mini. Our TV died recently, and of course, the new TV doesn't have a component input, which is the only way to enjoy the original Wii in higher resolution than 480i composite. Rather than a traditional video output port, the Wii uses a proprietary cable - either component or composite on the TV end, and the other connects to the "display" port on the Wii. THIS ADAPTER plugs in to the Wii and provides an HDMI out, which means I can ditch my component cable and at the same time, avoid the need for an external component to HDMI converter box. It works great, the video and sound work great, and now I have a single HDMI cable rather than two cables and a converter. Great product!
