Perfect fit for a 2019 Tiffin RV. Here is a tip I did, hope it helps. Going on the roof the old broken lid was really stuck down and I did not want to cut out and risk a leak and have to put down a bunch of sealant and calk. I took the old lid and took out the pin out of the hinge, then took the pin out of the new hinge as well, took the new lid and attached it to the old hinge on the roof and pot the pin in. Perfect no hassle no cutting out and fit perfect. Was off the roof in 10 minutes..

This cover looks like it will match right up however there is an error in the manufacturing they drilled the holes on the slide in the wrong spot. Another person suggested grinding out some of the plastic to make it close all the way. This is not necessary just switch the new slide out with the old slide from your old lid. Additionally the hinge holes are drilled in the wrong spot for my model of fantastic fan. My fan is on a 1998 trail Manor. The holes are an inch and a half from the flat part where the seal sits. On the original it is an inch and 5/8 because it is short by 1/8 of an inch it will not allow the lid to fully close. I will be using a Dremel tool to make the holes into slots so I can get it in the right position to close. MmSee picture.

My fanticfan is an older one with the motor facing up (2004 Beaver), so the cover needed to allow for that extra height. This is a perfect fit for height, and the existing opening. the mounting screws from the old hinge worked to replace the new cover and they matched up with the existing holes perfectly. The screen is a little different, but in my case my old screen is fine so it didn't matter. As mentioned in earlier posts, there is no 'close limit' tab to shut off the fan if it's closed all the way, but I don't need or want one. Replacement took 15 minutes.

I’ve never written a review before, but I thought I would because I’m so pleased with it, well manufactured item with a great finish a small bit of spacing was required on the hinge side to make it close down firmly. The smoked finish looks great and even the bug screen supplied with it fits perfectly 😊

I praise the manufacturer for the quality and design of this Fantastic-Fan-compatible product. It arrived very nicely packaged, protected, and complete. It seems that it might be of higher quality than the Fantastic-branded product. However, I could install the product onto my Fantastic Fan vent only with the following modifications: 1) I unscrewed and rotated the square "ring" inside the cover 180 degrees, because otherwise the ring would not seat properly onto the rubber seal of the top edge of the vent's opening. (Note that the ring is wider on 3 sides than on the fourth. The narrow side is originally intended to be closest to the hinge, but I had to position the narrow side furthest from the hinge.) I'm glad that the ring was attached to the lid with screws, so that it could be detached and reattached. Also, by rotating the ring like this, the spring-loaded switch that automatically turns off the fan when the lid is lowered now functions, 2) I had to use longer screws (3/4") and add a stack of washers between the slider bar and the mounting brackets to shift the slider bar 5/16" further away from the outer edge of the cover, because the slider bar was positioned too close to the outer edge of the cover, in my case. The longer screws and spacers will, unfortunately, add stress to the mounting brackets, because of the added leverage, 3) If you look at the product photo that shows the lifting arm inserted into the slider bar, the lifting arm abuts slider bar toward the CENTER of the cover. On my Fantastic Fan, the lifting arm is necessarily positioned on the other side of the slider bar, toward the OUTER edge of the cover and between the 2 mounting brackets. This positioning on the replacement cover caused the lifting arm to impinge on the "lower" mounting bracket when lowering the cover, and the cover could, therefore, not be closed completely. I had to unscrew the slider bar from the bracket, flip it over, and reinstall it, so that it extended further away from the mounting brackets. (Note that the slider bar is not mounted symmetrically on the brackets so that flipping it over changes its position relative to the brackets.) This still did not create enough clearance of the lifting arm from the bracket; however, when I used spacers to mount the slider bar further toward the center of the cover, the gap created by the spacers was sufficient clearance for the lifting arm, and the cover could then close completely. All this finagling will be worth it if the brackets that mount the slider do not break because of the spacers. Nevertheless, the price on this product is lower than that of the Fantastic-branded cover, and the quality seems better. I've read a number of reviews on the Fantastic-branded cover that say the brackets for the slider bar were already cracked when they received the product. The slider bar's breaking off seems to be the #1 reason why people have had to replace the Fantastic-branded cover and was the reason for my replacement.Maybe the misfit of this product with my Fantastic Fan is because my Fantastic Fan is about 15 years old. If this product will fit your Fantastic Fan, even if you have to make some adjustments, then I'd say it's a great deal for a high-quality product, assuming that the mounting brackets for the slider bar are stronger than those on the Fantastic-brand cover.
