Good tires and work as advertised but difficult to put on, had to ask a tire shop to put it on for me with a hydrologic system.

One of the pneumatic tires on my Gotrax scooter went flat so I decided to try out these solid tires. They are a direct fit and ride at least as smoothly as the pneumatic tire. For installation, read the instructions and do not skimp out on boiling the tire. I tried installing after 10 minutes of slow boiling but still couldn't get the tire on the rim. Heated it up another 5 minutes and was able to get the tire on the rim. I still had to pry out the edge guard on the back side of the tire but once in place, everything was good to go. Just be patient with the heating and maybe use a touch of soap to help things slide over the rim. Don't be afraid to brute force it. Just wear something to protect your hands from the hot tire and in case something slips.

I received this item as a part of my membership with Amazon Vine. I recently got an e-scooter and was unfortunate enough to have one of the tires get punctured while riding it from a broken nail/screw. I was able to make it home, and i was able to get the inner tube replaced, but now i am a bit more nervous while riding and im always looking at the floor while riding to try to avoid any more of them. I didnt know that solid tires were made for scooters when i happened across this set of solid tires. I am so glad i ordered it! It came with a tool to assist with the swapping of the tires on the rim, which is sorely needed. It was still not the easiest thing in the world to do, and i recommend you be careful when putting the metal tools aginst the rims, but the tool definitely helps and i was able to successfully put the tires on. It works beautifully, rides smoothly, and now i dont need to watch the floor as i am riding! Definitely recommended!

These tires work great, I got them for my wife's E scooter. She says they ride the same as the air-filled tires. Now she doesn't have to worry about getting a flat tire when she zips around town. That being said if you are thinking about getting these make sure you have some time and I would recommend getting some prybars as the ones this comes with do work but they would be much more useful if they were 6 to 8 inches longer. Now for those of you who think you are willing to tackle the job here are some tips:If like me you don't have a bench vise you will want to do what I did, if you do have a bench vise then I recommend looking up tutorials on youtube as there are plenty that show how to do this with a vise. Now for the method I used:While you are in the process of taking the old tires off the scooter let the new solid tires soak in hot water, it doesn't have to be boiling but if you are going to take your time getting the wheels off you certainly can start with boiling water. The reason for this is to make the new tires more flexible and malleable.Front tire: my wife's scooter has the motor in the front wheel as many do and that means the power cord for the motor is going to get in the way, there is a workaround though. Take the new tire and set it on the floor, a towel on the floor helps keep things from shifting too much and helps with the excess water from pulling the tire out of the hot water. Spray some lubricant on the inside rim of the tire, this can be soapy water or WD-40 I used silicone spray. Now check that the direction of the tire is correct with the arrow pointing in the direction that the wheel will be going forward, this is only able to be determined by what direction your front rim is installed with the cable going to the motor. Making sure that the wheel will be on correctly push the rim into the tire in a perpendicular way, we want the rim to go all the way through the middle of the tire so that the power cable and the tire are both on the top side of the rim when you set it on the floor. Then with your prybar close at hand you can start to push the tire onto the rim with a downward motion. Once you get a single side to sit down on the rim a bit use your knee to hold that side down while using your hands to push and stretch the top part up and over the rim, you will have to use all your strength and maybe even eat a can of spinach before hand. When you finally get the tire close to the top or even over the lip of the rim use your prybar to slide under it between the tire and rim and then pry the tire all the way onto the rim. Congratulations you achieved the impossible and you are now a superhero. But you're not done yet, when you look at the tire it will be lop-sided this is because the little lip around the edge of the tire is too far down on one side and not far enough on the other. Now you can use both pry bars to slowly move one section of the tire into the proper seated position, once you have part of the tire into position slowly work your way around the tire on the side of the tire that is sticking out of the rim with one prybar and get the rest of the tire seated properly. Then do it all over again on the other tire. Have Fun!

Biggest thing i like-never get a flat againDislike-rougher and noisier rideInstalling it will be much easier if you boil the tire for 10 or 15 minutes. Then obviously use gloves because it will be hot as boiling water. But the rubber will soften for a few minutes. Thats your window of time to get the tire on rim.Otherwise, you will fight with it for a long time trying to get it on.
