4 Step To Install RUTU Solid Tires
Step 1
Soften in boiling water for 20 minutes before installation.
Step 2
When the tire is soft enough, use the tire lever to press the tire into the hub.
Step 3
Place either side of the hub on the tire and step on this side.
Step 4
Use the tire lever to the hub to enter the tire.

As a Lead Nursery Practitioner, I am always looking for real life objects which will enhance the environment and learning experiences for the children. We use tyres for play both indoors and out, and these scooter tyres are perfect for our indoor small world area. They are a good size for little hands to handle and explore, and offer so many experiences. We use these in our play set ups to enhance our vehicle play, have used them with paint for mark making, roll them down guttering to explore trajectory and have even worn them as crowns! The children finds endless ways to incorporate these in to their play - last week they added them to their tool bench and spent time fixing "holes" in the tyres. I am sure that they are great for their intended purpose, which is replacement tyres for scooters, but these are also a fantastic investment for small world and curiosity play. This particular pair of tyres are really solid and sturdy, so should last us really well in my playroom even with a daily rotation of 15 2 - 3 year olds!

My husband blew out a tube in his scooter, so instead of going through the process of taking off the tire and replacing the tube, we just decided to go with a solid tire instead. The process of getting the new tire on is kind of a beast, because they aren't stretchy and need to be solidly on the wheel. But once it's on, it feels decent, if not a bit of a harsher ride without the cushion of an air tube. We only replaced one because the other tube is still holding air, but will use the other one once the tube needs to be replaced. For sizing questions, we have a gotrax gxl V2, and this worked perfectly.

Installation was... interesting. The tire would act like it was never going to fit, and then all at once it just slipped into place.The ride seems a little harsher than with pneumatic tires, but not much. The peace of mind that flats are a thing of the past makes a slightly harsher ride well worth it.

Puncture-proof tire replacement provides solid performance but not as smooth. Installation is super challenging though.

I have grown to love the puncture free tires on scooters. Some don’t have the same shock absorption as others, but they keep you from being stranded with a 50+ lb device. This wheel set handled bumps surprisingly well. Maybe not quite as good as an inner tube wheel, but pretty close. Very satisfied with the performance of these tires!
