This mantle clock is a nice size that can be seen across a room by those of us with impaired distance vision! It is truly silent as advertised and runs on a single battery. It looks like it is made of a rich wood coated with lacquer, but it is actually plastic or some type of composite. It is much lighter than it looks. The detail on the face is very nice, suitable for farmhouse/boho/shabby-chic decor. Very nice.

The clock looks elegant from a distance but isn’t wood and has no back. Too expensive for what you get.
