It is meant for soup etc.have not used yet.it seems fine and will do the job.dishwasher safe .

I like the overall size of the ladle. The handle is comfortable. I wish the bowl of the ladle was just a little bigger and it would be handy if it had a little spout to avoid drips.

Like the way the scoop part runs flat on bottom of pan, picks up better.
