Elegant, light ligature that holds the reed well without squeezing the life out of the mouthpiece. Has transformed my sound. It does need looking after as it will bend if dropped or squashed.

I like this ligature so much I ordered one for my alto and one for my soprano. Fresh out of the box and onto my Claude Lakey 6*3 mouthpiece (Rico Plasticover 2.5 reed, Yamaha Custom Z tenor) it made a noticeable difference in my top to bottom tone control, my ability to play at a lower volume and has actually improved my high end range a bit - something I did not think a ligature could do. I feel it's the best sax related purchase I have made in quite a long time.

Wanted to upgrade my plastic Syos ligature. This Rovner platinum ligature is used on my Syos original 3D printed mouthpiece for tenor sax. It fits perfectly. The Rovner does not sound different than the Ultimate Ligature Francois Louis Saxophone Ligature, but it fits much better and does not move around at all, unlike the Louis one that moved around easily.And the Rovner looks very nice on the mouthpiece.

WOW! just WOW! going from the ligature that came with my Jody Jazz HR 7* to this Rovner Platinum Ligature has been a massive improvement in tone across all registers with greater consistency too! Having looked at so many other products out there before buying this I feel this is amazing value for the level of improvement it delivers. For anyone considering an upgrade in their ligature for the first time, I'd highly recommend this. One of my my most satisfying purchases on Amazon in the past 12 years!

I play a Cannonball tenor sax. I am a new student on the sax. I bought this ligature because I was having problems making the upper staff G note. My instructor reversed the ligature so the adjusting screw is on top. See pic! This helped along with an adjustment of my embouchure. Great quality, fast shipping!

I play on Legere synthetic reeds, which don't stick to the mouthpiece table like cane reeds, so a good fitting ligature is very important to my set-up. I have a Morgan HR jazz mouthpiece that runs a bit narrower than some other HR pieces. I had tried two other Rovners with it, but each one lacked the ringing tone of the two screw metal ligature I had. The problem was that the generic metal ligature was just a bit loose. The Rovner Platinum offers the best of both. It has the ringing tone of a metal ligature with the secure fit of a Rovner ligature.

I play big band W boom box at Christmas- outside in cold. With Berg Larson on alto, I'm given out, intonation suffering, not able to focus on task after only an hour. This platinum; same horn, Reed, but with hard rubber in the mix, I play for seven, eight hours. They're changing bucket at Salvation Army several times while I'm there. The hr mouthpiece and Rovner makes possible things for me. This thing is alto on steroids. Tom Kipfer
