Bought it as a gift for my hubby, pre the holidays but.,,,No need to hide this one away until the holdidays. This is beautiful year round. Love the ships sailing when a candle is lit beneath it. It’s quiet as there are no chimes and it’s very serene.I do notice I light it up more often than my hub does. But maybe I just think of it more often. I do catch him staring at it and being mesmerized,Really nice thing to lift one’s spirits.

This is just what I wanted, very fun and cute with plenty of the little dangling charms-ships in this case-that have nice amount of detail on them (sails, etc.). This one has 5 charms whereas others sometimes have only 4 so it looks a little better when it turns. The little ship decoration on top is a nice bonus too. The metal bits are easy to assemble. The only negative comment is that the metal parts are so thin that they bend extremely easily, but I think they need to be lightweight to turn around well from the candle, and they do seem to be easy to bend back. Probably won't have a lot of longevity if you take it apart very many times but most people are probably not expecting it to last forever and it might surprise us anyway. As a fun little item it performs as expected-a happy purchase. Would be a nice gift.

Had to fix the hole for the pole. Also, because of the way the ships attach to the fans, the ships end-up going backwards. Cute but needs some work
