The design is very simple which is great. However, this is not meant for someone my size or with my size chest. And for those it would fit, the padding for the neck strap is quite lacking and I don't think that everyone will find it all that comfortable. A positive is that the sling itself is very light weight an breathable.

My wife had a stroke that left her right arm paralyzed- dead weight. This product has short strap that SLIDES so her hand is pointing to the floor and her arm is slipping out of the sling. the back of this thing is made such that her elbow does not reach to the back of the pocket. We have the adjustment all the way to the top but it does NOT hold. She is 5'5 and 160 lbs so this is NOT suitable for a full grown person, Cheap and poorly made.

First let me list the pros...* The sling is very lightweight, yet it is sturdy.* It can be used for both the left and right arm.* It has an adjustable strap to fit a lot of bodies.* The strap is padded for comfort while sitting on shoulders; it doesn't cut into the shoulder or neck.* it was inexpensive.I rated is four because it is not the fault of the sling that it didn't fully work for me.I purchased this sling when I was having a carpal tunnel-like issue with my left arm (from shoulder blade to wrist). One of the few positions I had less pain was with my arm folded over my chest I thought this could do two things... 1) hold my arm in that position while supporting my elbow, which it should do; and 2) keep a heating pad in a position around my arm from wrist to elbow, which, I'm assuming, it wasn't meant to do. For me, it did neither well. Part of that is because I'm fat and part of that is because the heating pad was hard to manipulate the way I wanted. Though the sling's strap is adjustable, it could not be made long enough to fit my over my chest well. It pressed my boobs and pulled at my neck and the placement of the where it attached at the elbow was uncomfortable -- it's a generic sling, so can't really be angled specifically for left or right use so it was sewn in the center position at the elbow so was at an odd angle.As I said, I cannot fault the sling for not being able to be fully useful for me. I did use it a few times to hold my arm across my body -- albeit scrunched and uncomfortable (but, at least it eased the pain for a time). If I need it badly again, I might alter it by lengthening the strap. It's now a part of my first-aid kit because it is useful, just not for every body type.

I recently fractured my shoulder in an accident, and was using a sling provided to me by the ER. It was so difficult to put on by myself (and unattractive to wear to work, etc.), and I was hoping there was something better out there. This sling is so well-designed and made of quality material!! I am able to put it on and off easily with one arm. It provides the necessary support, and I can wear it to work or out socially without feeling self-conscious. I was so happy to get it delivered quickly, and the price was more than reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended!!

I sprained my AC joint (shoulder) and needed to keep my arm mostly immobilized. Took a minute to figure out which velcro attached to each piece but if you lay it flat it worked out quickly. The pocket for my arm was comfortable and a perfect length, the thumb loop was a bit awkward, I ended up not using it. The piece that goes around the neck has a small slightly padded piece for comfort but fir me it never stayed in place so it ended up rubbing on my neck. It is easily adjustable (loosened or tightened) with one hand.

My daughter broke her arm and is in a full arm cast. To take the pressure off her shoulder during the healing process, she has to wear a sling. The slings the hospital provided were true and utter crap. This is the third sling I ordered and the third time was the charm.The first sling I ordered was harness style with a stabilizing strap that wrapped around the torso and injures arm. I figured that since my daughter doesn't want to stay still, this would provide the stability while offering mobility through her other arm. I was wrong. That sling was made of a material that had give, and her arm would bounce with movement. No bueno.The second sling ordered was very similar to this except the thumb loop (bungee material) was very small and tucked too far I to the sleeve of the sling this pulling her thumb back uncomfortably. The strap didn't have enough adjustability so my daughter's had was below the elbow. No ea bueno.THIS sling provides the perfect length to cover her whole forearm with the elbow resting perfectly. The adjustable strap is thick enough that it doesn't roll . The cushion support is very padded and provides all day comfort. The strap provides enough adjustment to fit my 12 year olds tiny frame.For the price point, I feel this sling far surpasses any expectations. The quality of the material used is better than the sling I purchased at twice the price.Happy healing!!!!
