This thing is a beast. I honestly was not expecting it to be this heavy duty. The rope is thick and the pulley system is sturdy and made well. I got it for our UTV/SxS, and it had no problem pulling it out of a snow bank. I put one end around a tree, and attached the other to the rear hitch. A few cranks and it pulled it right out.

While basically the same as a com-a-long, this has a very important distinction. It pulls a length of rope through but doesn't spool it. So you can pull something as long as your rope length allows. Regular com-a-longs have only about a ten foot pull .This particular puller seems well made and robust. Very much up to the loads and use it is expected to with stand. I'm glad I have this and recommend it to any DIYer rural property owner.

Super excited about this product! I have been using ratchet straps which are meant for trailers to pull trees when cutting them down. Just not the best use of my straps and also needed many to get a good proper length. This has good length and is much easier to deal with in terms of not sliding down and hooking multiple heavy straps with metal attached all together - really tedious and frustrating. Not to mention the tree landing on a rachting body is never a good thing! Nice to have a dedicated tools for a dedicated purpose. I was worried about the weight rating which seemed low after using 12,000 lb straps for this purpose, but this is an adequate strength to fell most trees when used properly. In fact a search for arborist rope pullers proved to bring up all sorts of 3/4ton rated pullers. So i felt that i would give this a shot the rope is a feels like a good quality rope and appears to be well made. My first use of this went very well and I am hooked! It really made the dreadful process I had been using seem downright silly! My trees are getting bigger and bigger and the reluctance to deal with the situation hasnt made it any easier! They just keep getting more intimidating, lol . I definitely recommend this -its better to nip these things in the bud ( trees that are leaning and threatening stuctures are best dealt with asap perferably when small :) Having this tool really makes it easier and safer to handle. This is a tool very worth having! That said, there IS an art to using these PROPERLY & I 100% encourage anyone considering its use to take the time to watch MANY arborist videos and fully understand its safe useage before using! NEVER proceed if your not comfortable. Always have an escape route .. etc.. Felling trees is serious business with serious consequences to life and property. Take it seriously & just be careful out there Ok! I would order this again. My next one will probably need more length though fast as things seem to be growing!!

Great rope pully for holding things back in place.I had a leaning tree that was about to fall over and this contraption worked to make my house look better and save the tree! I recommend it for anyone who needs to hold something in place.

This rope is actually heavy duty. It's thick and sturdy. We used this to move a very large log on our property. It was easy to secure with the rope and very easy to attach to the truck to pull. The come along winch is easy and smooth to operate, and there's a double lock so you don't have to worry about the rope moving on you when you don't want it to. It's very secure and that makes it quite safe to use. You never want to have to worry about the tools you're using when trying to pull heavy things. We won't have to worry with this come along for sure.
