Factory rated to 15 microns, this unit delivers a fast, thorough evacuation. Offset rotary vanes build powerful compression within the pumping chamber - reducing pressure and vaporizing moisture. Gas Ballast design mixes moisture laden air passing through pump with relatively dry air so compression doesn't cause condensation. Iso-Valve isolates pump from system with just a quarter turn. Durable molded polycarbonate base improves pump balance and minimizes vibration while in operation. Also includes: ¼” and ½”male flare inlet fittings, easy to read sight glass, easy access oil fill port, and angled oil drain valve for faster, more complete draining of the reservoir. This is the second Robinaire pump i have purchased from Amazon in the last month, and both of them have stopped working within a few days of using. Additionally both pumps had signs of being used when I opened the boxes they came in, like someone used it and returned it. I really hope amazon is not selling used or defective pumps as new.

I've been in commercial refrigeration/HVAC for 31 years. Robinair has always put out a great vacuum pump. It came with a container of their vacuum pump oil. Well built, heavy duty, pulls down below 100 microns quickly. This is a mid-sized unit, just right for the service van. If you're doing grocery store stuff or a City Multi system, use a bigger capacity model.

First, when checked, prepared with oil, turned on, the motor hummed and the pump was not running. I checked all, and tried once again over and over. After bumping it to try and loosen any bound internal issues it still did not run. Finally after many times turning it on and off, it started to run. I decided to test vacuum with a micron gauge attached directly to the pump fitting with a 3 inch brass adapter made just for that. It pulled down a vacuum to 600 microns quickly but after 5 minutes it only got to 450 and that was all it would get. The motor was getting so hot, you could not hold your hand on it. I don't think the isolation valve did anything at all. Evan with all connections tight, and valves shut, it leaks down so fast that there is something very wrong with this pump. This is not my first Rodeo with a/c vacuum pumps. I have been in the business for over 40 years. Maybe just a lemon, but I would definitely reconsider before I would purchase this or any other Robinair CoolTech pump. P.S They used to be pretty good, NOT ANYMORE! Thanks CHINA!!!!!!

This product is capable of pulling two lines allowing me multiple vacuum chambers to be purged simultaneously. So far the product is running the long hours I need it to.

this is the best vacuum pump of all made just get the right CFM# and you'll be happy with years of use..
