It took me a few tries to get the hang of it but my mistakes were in choice of yarn. The loom itself is very easy to set up and use. I've made many scarves of different widths and lengths and everyone has loved them! I recommend using a strong yarn to warp the loom. Happy Weaving!

We have a narrow version of the same loom. This one is wider. Wife happy.

Loom arrived as an easy to assemble kit. Sturdy construction. Lovely to weave on. I wish the stand had the side tables to hold the shuttle but not a huge deal. Shipped quickly.

I’ve just finished weaving my first project on this loom, it is twice as big as my Schacht loom so it took some adjustment in terms of moving the shuttle back and forth. The loom itself looks and feels sturdy, the stand feels light. It’s good that it is detachable and I can move it around the house.

I was expecting a "Knitting loom" not a Weaving loom.

I bought this loom because I was going stir crazy in my house all day. And I love to create things. I just want you to know I do love my loom and the great things I make on it. But I wish it was heavier. The 1st thing you learn is tension. Keep the tension on your warp, and I do. But it's not easy. When I'm warping it. It likes to twist and slide because it's so lightweight. So after getting frustrated more times than I like to admit I tried sandbags which work rather well. And one more thing, why do I see people with the same make and size as this one and it has a shelf on the side of the stand. that would have been handy thanks ashford for taking it away😒. I do love to weave, and I'm hoping to upgrade my loom someday. If you're into arts and crafts, and love to make things with your hands, you will enjoy weaving. Even though I just complained about how lightweight it is. They did do a very good job making the loom

I am happy with this loom and stand. I waxed them before I put them together and will rewax after 1 month because it is very dry in my house in the winter. What I don't like is the way the reeds slip out in the upper position. I am trying different things to prevent this and still make it easy to change reed position. I have made several pillow covers, table runners, and shawls so far. The hardest part is warping the loom. The rest is easy.

I don’t normally write reviews, but this deserves a 5 star rating. I have never used a loom before, and found it easy to assemble and even easier to start a project following the videos in the Ashford website. Shipping was lightening fast, arriving almost two weeks earlier than stated.
