It does melt but small amount and it takes to much time to melt, it also consumes a lot of electricity.

Even if I emailed the seller for repair, the seller asked me to contact the real seller. Is this seller a fake seller? This company doesn't seem to exist legally. Please let me know the real seller's contact details or email address.

Works great for melting all my scrap metal. Not to mention the money I save on biting metal. Great price as well.

I like it because I can use it in places I can't take my gas forge. My only issue is that it barely gets hot enough to melt copper. Digital read out says it is almost 100 degrees over coppers melting point and it maxes out, yet the copper is still just glowing white hot. Eventually it finally melts, but if your in a rush, get a gas fired version as this will take an hour to reach temp. And yes, I was using pure copper, not an alloy. One more thing, the crucibles are small....very small. You won't be melting down and cans unless you shred them first. Think golf ball size diameter max.

I bought this Furnace in MAY. I have used it a number of times with no problems. However now when I get the temperature up to around 1000 C the trip in our fuse box goes over.I've tried it in another room (different trip) and the same thing happens.
