Excellent quality for the price. Makes a great slapping sound, easy to control for beginners, and overall a nice paddle for those just starting to delve into the LS. Definitely recommend.

Let's call it what it is - a paddle. And, as the line in the description so clearly calls out "The unique round design of the leather paddle ensures impactful, loud sounds while minimizing unnecessary discomfort"Which is a generally accurate description of what it is aside from what seems to be an unfortunate but widely seen use of "leather" for faux leather... aka plastic. There is a thin stiffener bonded between the two outer sides running from the handle through the impact zone which helps it keep it's shape, and it's very much a toy for the audio impact as opposed to any real physical impact. It's small and light, perfect for a travel toybag and since there isn't much in the way of actual impact is a great toy for playing with more sensitive areas.

I’m super new to impact play and am playing around with different pieces to learn what’s comfortable. How different pieces feel. How to wield them etc. This feels like a beginner piece. It’s easily held and wielded. Seems difficult to accidentally damage so I think it’s a good tool to play with different forces. There’s less sting and more thud with this piece. I think I might like it here.
