Applicable model: For MacBook Pro Retina 13 "&16" model A1989 A1990 and for MacBook Air 13 " model A1932 2018-2019 Year.(If you are not sure of your computer model number, please check the text on the metal case at the bottom!)
Installation tips:
1. When taking out the old spacebar cover, gently lift it from the upper left corner to the upper right corner (first release the top button), then take out the old spacebar cover;
2. If the white butterfly hinge is not damaged, when installing the space key cap, first aim at the buckle at the lower end of the key cap and then gently press the upper end.(Please do not press directly, it is easy to break the key cap or hinge);
3. If the white butterfly hinge is damaged, loosen the left (or right) clasp of the hinge first and then replace the new hinge
4. If the base gasket is damaged, take out the damaged gasket and install a new one.

The parts look almost identical to the OEM parts and have similar feel, but the center membrane switch does not have the same soft sound as the original. It has an audible click and different press weight. In addition, it does not register every spacebar press.

Better than the broken unresponsive spacebar, but not as responsive as it should be. You have to watch as you type as sometimes it does not insert a space as it should.

This is much easier than replacing the keyboard, which is what Apple recommends. But it's still a PIA if you don't know what you're doing.The spacebar comes complete with everything you need to replace the entire spacebar assembly. However, there are absolutely no instructions for install or links to reference. If your spacebar came off and you don't know how it sits on there, it's 'take a guess' time. I searched YouTube for videos and there are similar spacebar videos, but no exact for this assembly. Fortunately, I was able to figure it out.There's also no adhesive provided. You need to have your own double-sided adhesive to make this spacebar work. Fortunately, again, I have lots of it because I tech-repair other products as well.This is not a simple install-n-go kind of job. If you aren't used to fixing stuff like this, or aren't very technically minded, don't just 'take a stab at it' because you'll be sad when something breaks. There's no starting over without more purchasing and waiting.

It says it will work for A1990. However, the butterfly clip is different from the one that broke. The two metal bars are both near the end, where as the one I need should have a metal bar in the middle. Also won't stick without adhesive. Need to look elsewhere.

I was able to get this installed but whenever i click the keyboard is makes an audible clicking noise.
