Belts came in a ziplock bag with a white printed label. Both fit well. Both were stiff and had good grip. Both weakened in one spot and stretched so that the cleaner went back to make a grinding noise. They were in a drawer in that bag for about a year. I had ordered a generic use industrial belt that matched the specs for the Hoover Smartwash Automatic Carpet and it worked fine for a year. You can buy a pack of 10 for around $18 but they don't ship as quickly. Just search for "360-3M-06 belt" That name specifies how long, how wide and the teeth you need on the belt.

The belt was great but I do recommend getting someone that know what there doing to install it as the installation was very hard because the carpet cleaner is glued at the bottom and if not careful it will break the price was great and fit was great

I was optimistic despite the reviews. Failed after 2 uses within 2 weeks of installing. Belt snapped and started slipping the brushes making it unusable. Good luck

Bought this item, glad there was 2 in the plastic bag. The 1st one broke quick. Not sure if it had a weak spot or if it wasn't fully put on correctly..? Would've helped to had some instructions or pictures for installation. Otherwise no issues and would buy it again.

The belt came as described and seems to work Ok. Since this was installed for a friend, will have to wait and see if it stands up Ok

Was given broken carpet cleaner from mother in law and replaced with 1 of the provided belts and is now a working unit. Unable to comment on strength, yet.

These are not easy to install and they are not very durable. You have to take apart almost the entire lower section of the carpet shampooer to put it on and the belt last about 2 months with regular spot cleaning.

I'm glade that I found that belt on Amazon. I got it for my Hoover smartwash. I couldn't find it anywhere even on the Hoover's website or local stores which was very inconvenient. It's very good and fits on the machine perfectly. It just needs a strong hand to install it. The price is good too.

Hoover failed miserably in designing this unit. They used a weak belt and buried inside the unit, making it very difficult to change out. You have to remove the entire chassis by taking out 14 screws, then gently pry apart the housing on the left side to expose the drive gears. The drive gear assembly tilts up, then you have to gently pry the little tab up on the middle tensioner piece while simultaneously sliding it down. Then wrap the belt around the two end gears and over the top of the tensioner, then slide the tensioner back up until it clicks back into place, tightening the belt. You must do this last step, as you cannot simply wrap the belt around the gears and tensioner without sliding the tensioner down, first (the belt will appear to be too long). In the picture, the tensioner is the little white gear that has no teeth.
