Our headquarters is located in Thuringia, a region with a centuries-old tradition of toolmaking. Over 300 people are at work here and at our US subsidiary RENNSTEIG Tools, Inc. Since 1991 RENNSTEIG has been an independent subsidiary of the well-known tool maker KNIPEX-WERK C. Gustav Putsch KG in Wuppertal, Germany. With our worldwide network of representatives and close cooperation with the KNIPEX Group, we can serve international customers on-site. In fact, exports account for over 50 percent of our revenues. Die Schlagkraft der automatischen Körner ist in den wenigsten Fällen dazu ausreichend, um direkt mit dieser Körnung zu bohren. Das geht nur auf sehr weichem Aluminium und mit sehr dünnen Bohrern.Wegen der hohen Grate, die der Anriss auf so weichem Material aufwirft, ist der flache Spitzenwinkel nicht geeignet, die Anriss-Linie zu ertasten. Deshalb habe ich die Spitze viel steiler angeschliffen, und benutze den automatischen Körner nur zum Vorkörnen. Da beschleunigt er dann schon die Arbeit.
