Great it make a difference in sound for the people like me who doesn’t like to put a pillow in the bass drum. Can be used whit all bass drum heads.

This definitely is a great product for muffling the drum without totally deadening the sound, and I like that I can purchase the less pricey heads and reuse this muffle.One thing I'm not a fan of though is the buzz/rattle from this thing where it vibrates on a portion of the rim between the ring on the head and the ring which holds the muffler and head in place. I can't hear it in the overheads during recordings but its definitely obvious when using the kick alone.

This muffle ring setup is absolutely perfect!! It gives the bass drum a very balanced sound that muffles it just enough without completely deadening the tone. What I love the most is it stays in place, unlike pillows, towels and whatever else you can stuff in your bass drum that always have to be reset. As you can see in my pics I have a kickport and the last thing I want to do is stuff anything in the bass drum and not be able to get it out without removing either drum head. If you're looking for balanced muffling and great punch this setup is the way to go, plus it looks great IMO.
