If you get in and out of your truck bed often this is a must have especially with trucks these days that are so damn tall. My only complain is the installation process takes a lot longer than what they let you believe and had to make some modifications to a bolt because it was too long.

This is used for a tall truck so you can easily get on the back bumper or tailgate.

Very easy to install. Had one on my last truck. Added one to the new truck. Initially I felt the fasteners screwing directly into the plastic step appeared flimsy....but after using it a lot for over 4 years....I had no issues. Periodically lubricating the pivot points keeps the step moving smoothly. Tucks up close to the bumper and doesn't hang down. Tighten the frame bolts first while leaving the bracket bolts somewhat loose. Then tighten the bracket bolt. This assures good alignment of the bracket.

This is the second bed step I have purchased for my pickup trucks. This is an awesome hep when trying to get into the bed from the ground. At 70 years old, I'm not as agile as I used to be and this bed step solves a lot of issue. First one I received was defective and it appeared to be a manufacturing issue as the bolt holes would not line up to mount the step to the truck. I contacted the supplier of the bed step (Wunder Car Parts) and they were awesome in helping me get the problem resolved. They sent me a return FedEx label and as soon as it shipped, they sent me a replacement. The replacement fit as it should. Kudo's to Wunder Car Parts for their help.

No more jumping on and off the tail gate or very little footing on the bumper itself. Easy step by step install with hardware. 20min and ready to go. Definitely recommend for us short folk!

This is the 2nd one I have bought. They are well made and work well. The step pad is larger than the Factory Ram is, so that is a plus. Installation was a little more difficult on the 2019 vs the 2018 model Ram. The holes were a bit harder to line up in the bumper bracket. So worth any difficulty that is encountered. Works so well to get into the box of the 2500/3500 Ram.

It was a little bit of a PIA to install. The install process could be made much easier if the manufacturer included self aligning body bolts to replace the bumper bolts..... There is a reason all manufacturers use these for the body panels and bumpers. When you go to look for the hitch bolt you need to remove yes it is the big one that you till be thinking no way would they hook this little bracket to that big bolt. Really no issue with that step though. The biggest problem is trying to get the 2 brackets provided by AMP to line up with each other. Then you have to support the bumper slightly and try to get a bolt started that will not spin by hand. YOu kind of run out of hands fast. That being said. After maybe 45 minutes on your back (teaching the neighbor some new words), you are left with a well placed sturdy step that the factory should have included.

I ordered the step in order to get up into the back of my new 2019 Ram 2500 Megacab. I looked at various kind of steps online and thought these looked good and I did not have to take my hitch on and off for a step. Expensive though for sure. They are very sturdy and made from heavy steel. It took me about 30 minutes to put them on. No big deal at all. Everything lined up and bolted right together. The only real issue I had to look over was the lower plug for the back up sensors. It looked like initially it would be in the way. It ended up not being an issue. The step bracket cleared it all around. The top plug did have to be removed and plugged into the two holes on the step bracket. All in all, from unboxing to install it was about an hour.I used it and it is sturdy. The whole left side drops when I get on the step, not just the step. My wife is 5 foot tall and she had no issue getting up to the bumper with this step. I am satisfied, but again expensive. Amp Research really likes their stuff and prices it accordingly.

This is a good sturdy step. It comes with a big bracket the instructions leave something to be desired but are ok.I'd suggest watching a video on Youtube of how to install the Mopar step and then relate it to the instructions for this step, it makes them much more understandable so you can relate the instructions to what you'll see under the truck. If one can't put their vehicle on a lift (it isn't needed) this install is done easiest with 2 people. The bracket is quite heavy and it was next to impossible for me to start the upper screw into the bumper brace without assistance. You'll want 2 people for this part, one to hold the brace and one to start the screw. The difficulty was increased because you needed to put the socket on the bolt before you attempted to start the screw it in. We found it next to impossible to get the socket on the bolt by just trying to hold the brace in place. After we got this in the rest was very easy.

Looking forward to using the item - just installed it and thought I would give a review on that aspect of the product:Took about an hour to install. Enclosed instructions were easy enough to figure out especially after pre-watching an installation video online. This particular model (75324-01A) comes with a 2 piece triangular mounting bracket that the purchaser assembles with 2 of the 3 plain coated bolts and plated nuts. One issue that I found was that the holes where the assembly bolts to the frame are overlapped once the triangle is assembled, and there is an almost size for size tolerance in them which makes them essentially not line up enough to insert the fasteners - cue the rat tailed file requirement. (Note to manufacturer: they may wish to supply the item already assembled as it's a lofty aspiration to expect to fabricated items to assemble with such a tight tolerance on the bolt holes - or oversize one of them.)Once that issue was addressed, I attempted to fit the assembly underneath the truck against the frame and another small issue arose in that the relief built into the triangle assembly at the round pipe (hitch assembly), wasn't enough - and this is where the flat bastard file came into play to remove about 3/32" more so that the assembly could slide in behind the hitch pipe weld. (Note to manufacturer: needs another 3/32" min relief as welds interfere.)Once these 2 items were addressed the product fit great! Only other minor issue of note is that there was one more harness connection that had to be removed on my truck (lower and to the right when looking underneath), which I subsequently zip tied to the other connection to secure it.You will also need some additional tools like extensions for your socket/ratchet, and double up on the wrenches.

I just installed this step yesterday on my 2019 Ram 3500 4X4. It was pretty easy to install. One set of holes on the bracket didn't line up perfectly. I thought I could get it installed this way but after fighting with the upper bolt for about a half hour, I drilled out the misaligned hole and the rest went together quickly. So far the step seems sturdy. I really like that it tucks up right under the bumper so it's not very noticeable. I'm getting older and am not able to get in the bed of my truck the way I could when I was young. Now I won't need to carry a short step ladder or stool with me.

This is my second unit. Bought one from my previous truck and now for my new truck ( that should tell you something). Love the functionality of having this kick out step and the company's support (my prior one had the step break off from the mount after 3 years and they replaced it with no questions).Installing it isn't exactly difficult, but you have to pull out some bolts from the vehicle body and reattach to install this. The cable management when you have a lot of trailer and other cables down there is a bit questionable but seems to hold up OK. The instructions / graphics could be clearer on the bolt locations / orientations so it takes a bit of time to decipher.Bottom line: plan on spending some tool time on your truck but the result is worth it. Just wish they made one for both driver AND passenger side of the truck.
