The wires are heavy enough to carry any current this type of connector should ever be used with. The insulation strips easily, the male and female pieces mate up perfectly. Satisfied with the purchase.

There is not 18 AWG wire in these pigtails, more like 22 AWG!!!

These units are good. Musicians need to be careful when using these to connect Pedals and guitar musical devices, since most of these pedals are CENTER-PIN EARTH. Using the Red wires according to electronic standards, (RED POSITIVE), these are Center Pin Positive.
