Picked this up thinking I would spool it on a saltwater rod. Not going to end up doing that just because the stainless line on this is actually somewhat abrasive feeling so it will wear out the guides. For fisherman that don't mind replacing their guide more often, they won't have an issue - I would prefer not to.Optimal use for this trolling line seems to be as leader material. Provides good resistance against sharp teeth, makes this reel last very long, and maintains durability of guides with other lines. This trolling line's very abrasion resistant being actual braided thin stainless steel. It's very tough, and I imagine it is actually going to take twice the force to break compared to its strength rating. Spooling these is effortless.

I use this fishing line for jewelry making. Lightweight strong material is perfect for crafting.I haven’t used this for fishing so I can’t comment on how it would work.But for what I use it for- it works great!

I snagged this to replace some el cheapo fake leather wrap on a sword scabbard,it works well for that purpose,I let a buddy use some to fish,no complaints he likes it.Good product, multi purpose and strong

Stainless steel line has endless uses in a wide variety of application. This product by Reaction Tackle is sold as fishing line for trolling.I am an avid fisher and often target toothy species such as salmon, small sharks and lingcod being some of my favorites. I intend on using this line to fabricate leaders because I have found the premade products to be far more expensive than I want to regularly shell out for and I also enjoy the task of making my own. This wire is fairly flexible for its size and appears to be defect free. Just because it is “Fishing Line” shouldn’t stop a person from finding all the other uses it has. My daughter makes bead jewelry, and because of the size of the beads, it's often difficult to make it really strong.I started looking for different materials, and that led me to braided fishing line, instead of monofilament...But then I saw this!It's super tiny, but ridiculously strong! It even fits seed beeds, which is amazing!You will not break this stuff!It says it has a 30LB breaking point, but like most fishing line, that number refers to a static drop test. If you dropped a 30 LB weight with this line attached, it may break.However, if you gradually pull on it, like most fishing line, you can land 30 LB fish on 8 lb test if you're careful.It took me almost 100 LBS to break this line. (adding weight to a bucket)This stuff just might become a staple for me in My Bug out Bag as well, as it would be perfect for tripwires, snares, and lashing branches and stuff. It's super easy to work with, but ridiculously strong!And the roll is like 300 feet long, so it should last forever!

I never used trolling line like this before, this is some serious line! Incredibly tough and feels unbreakable unless with some wire cutters. It comes with enough to last for sometime to make leaders out of, and it reels up nicely without any issues or snags. Its pretty strait forward and mean serious business, I cant imagine any fishing breaking a line like this!Fair priced, bang for your back and would highly recommend!
