I got this ramen noodle bowl set mainly for my teenage son. He eats ramen noodles a couple times a week and I knew he would really enjoy this bowl set. It works great if your only making one package of noodles, if your trying to make more than that it doesn’t work the greatest. It is microwaveable, easy to wash, and has its own strainer making it super easy and fast to heat up your ramen.

The dimensions are correct and it does look like the photos. It comes with all the items shown. It is quite thin, but it did hold up in the dishwasher (top rack) so it has to be somewhat sturdy. But it's too thin for me to comfortably use for ramen. It doesn't have any protection against heat, and I want something that I can hold without a potholder and not burn my hand. That being said, I can use this type of bowl for most of the things I eat, so it will get used.I also wanted to comment on the color, it's almost a true baby blue, with very faint specks of gray. My photos show it washed out but trust me it's baby blue. It looks bright aqua blue in the listing pics. Not a big deal to me.Despite all that, I still think it's a good set and a great value, at the time of review it was $8.99. Just be careful filling it with hot liquids, it is somewhat bendy, not rigid. I'm using mine for salads and cut fruit. I just can't use it for ramen which is why I needed it in the first place.

This is a good microwaveable set, but I wish it was a little bigger so I'd have more room while stirring the flavor mix into the water and noodles. This material stays much cooler during microwaving than the glass bowl and ceramic bowl I usually use.

The pieces all fit well together and worked well together- I would never have guessed these were made from wheat straw, but the set is quite light, looks nice and they say it is almost unbreakable, so which will be nice when taking it to work, or around home for that matter. The small bowl has a very smooth and shiny interior, almost slick so it was easier to tip it out of the other bowl when I stacked them to put them away, but they designed it with a ridge around the bottom of it so if you are using it as a lid, you can grasp that when lifting it off. It still was not that easy to grasp that ridge however. Maybe cross bar from the ridge on one side the ridge on the other perhaps 3/8 inch wide or so made to grab might help. It is also nice that they do all stack well together to take up less cupboard space. The strainer will be nice if you prefer to have less soupy noodles. Easy to lift them out and dump them into the bother bowl for eating. I am used to chopsticks just a little longer, but I saw that some sets had even shorter ones. The chopsticks and the fork and spoon make me think of what you get at a fast food place, although they are much more sturdy. I would preferred the handle of the cup not have the tipped up part which is apparently meant to hold your cell phone up as it pokes my hand and is not comfortable when carrying the cup. If you use that, in order to look at the face of the phone while eating you are going to be lifting your food right over across the top of the phone, and have to have it far enough back for good viewing, so making it a long reach--not terribly convenient, and hopefully you are very neat or you risk drips onto the phone. If you want to avoid that, you would have to be shifting the position of the cup with each bite of food. I cannot see myself ever using this feature. If the color of the blue set is the color I see on the screen, I think it is a very beautiful color, but It does not go with anything I have, so I stayed with black despite this being a somewhat boring flat matte black with no printed or textured design, so pretty blah alongside that blue. I also wondered if the blue would show discoloration from certain red sauces I might add. It is so pretty I really was tempted though.I did not do pictures of the black set I have because the pictures on the seller's site are accurate and show better than mine could. Note that the rectangular shape apparently is a black cell phone held up by the up-it took me a half second of thinking "what is that" A different colored phone or one with the screen on would be a better idea for showing that feature. I thought this was an ok item and value- not outstanding so if I could have I would have probably said 4.5, but there was nothing functionally wrong, although improvements could be made, so I did not think a 4 was warranted.

I think this was designed for round dry ramen noodles found in China rather than the common rectangular dry noodles more typical in the US. I find the round dry noodles to be smaller. Less water can be used for faster cooking. But I can easily cook the rectangular dry noodle in 3 minutes in other containers that have a cover with drain holes. The bowl is also too small. This is not a product that us useful in the US market.
