These chain anchoring stakes are incredibly well made! They are quite heavy for what they are and they are finished also very well. I use them with my chains where there is ground to stick them in and the work as slick as deer guts on a doorknob! An extra added benefit is when the wind is blowing particularly hard, it prevents the chains from banging into the house. I have chains on all of my downspouts and couldn't be happier. If your chain doesn't come with these, I strongly suggest purchasing separately.I have 2 chains left and will be purchasing these on my own to complete the set-up.Buy these! You won't regret it!

These heavy metal spikes hang with just the right amount of weight to help direct my rain chain into my flowerbed. This will help keep the rain chain from being able to twist away from my flowerbed in the wind and although I don't want to drive the spike deep into the ground, if there are anymore issues with my rain chain moving around I will be able use a little twine around the point attached to three tent stakes without too much problems.

This was great and a breeze going into the dirt but then I wasnt sure how to attach it to my rain chain. Im going to need to get my pliers and get one of the links open to attach it. I think that detail was forgotten. So there isn't a way to attach it to your rain chain without bending a link.

I've given my sister a rain chain for their home, but didn't realize that being on a hill they would get as much wind as they do. I went looking for a solution when she said she'd have to take it down. This anchor does exactly what it's supposed to. She's only got one chain right now, so I suggested that she use the other to tether an outside chair. Solid accessory with real utility.anchor

My friend got a gorgeous iron rain chain but was afraid the high winds at her home would make the heavy chain a dangerous addition. I ordered these anchoring stakes (made for rain chains) in the hopes she will be able to use them so she can enjoy her lovely rain chain. They appear to be heavy-duty & high quality. The product page states that they are made of “premium iron” to be hard and durable. The makers apparently use a sprayed-on coat technology which ensures the stakes will not rust easily. I like the appearance and design of the arrow-shape – it should firmly anchor her rain chain in a deep and stable manner so that the chain won’t swing about and cause damage, even in stormy weather or high winds. She has not yet installed the rain chain or the anchor, but is very hopeful it will work as needed.

These anchoring stakes are essential if you live in a windy climate. Opening the ring is a bit of a challenge, but once we had the stake attached to the rain chain we were able to close it securely and anchor the chain into a large planter so that it remains stable
