Its surge protection is unbeatable, withstanding nearly 3 times higher electrical surges than competitive controllers. The module is also fuseless and uses a state of the art diagnostic circuit breaker to identify a station with valve or wiring problems while continuing to water operable stations. It expands easily from a 4 station base to 13 stations when you add other 3station modules.A 365day calendar functions with leapyear intelligence so that any schedule you set will stay set, worry free, for years. The module also features four irrigation cycle modes: Custom 7day calendar; cyclic 131 day interval; and odd/even day calendar.)A Contractor Default System makes it easy for you to access your default program, even if it has been overriden by a homeowner. But the module is easy for your customers or homeowners to program themselves, as well. During spring testing notices that 3 zones did not startup . when looking and checking manually notice message no module detected where the was a module. Tried unplugging it and plugging it back no help. Ordered this new installed and it was detected right away and works well. Issue resolved, now to the next project.

Worked great. Lost 3 zones all at once. All 3 were on one expansion station.Turned off power, disconnected 3 wires, slid old station out, put new station in, reconnected 3 wires and all was good. Simple fix !!!!

So my sprinkler system is using 6 zones and zone 5 and 6 stopped working, I thought maybe with time the roots and grass couldve caused a blocking of either the sprinkler to come out or the pipe in the ground to break or get clogged so I spent so much time trying to find the sprinkler heads and could only find 2, I called the sprinkler company that installed it and they told me that each sprinkler box is only able to do 4 zones and if there are more than 4 then you usually will have an expansion module to add more zones and they often go bad after a few years. So I said well how much to change it if that is the issue, they said its $55 for the part, $80 for the hour labor to change and test it and then an additional $35 because they were now located in the next city. I said ok give me a few and I will call you back. I went to my box and opened it up and saw the module and then saw how easy it was to remove and found it on Amazon, paid a lot less for the part and got a warranty with it. When it came in 2 days later It literally took me 2 minutes to change and now all the zones are working properly. Thanks again! You saved me money and time!

We have a Rainbird ESP controller. After a nearby lightening hit, three of our seven zones were dead. After looking at our controller, I saw a "No Mod 1" error for zones 5, 6, and 7. It was clear that these zones all were connected to the same module. I ordered a replacement module which was received within three days. It was simple to replace . . . only required a screw driver to disconnect and reconnect the lead from each of the three zones. Between the approx $30 discounted part price and the avoidance of a $75 service call from the irrigation company, I saved over $100. My next door neighbor had the exact same problem (our controllers are straight across from each other) and I showed him the fix too. He also ordered a replacement module thru Amazon and pocketed the savings.

Take it out of the box and insert in your ESPController. Snap the dark locking lever and its in! Connect a single wire to each screw and that would be connected to a water valve which I already had. Contractor gave me 6 valves with system but two were wired into another zone resulting in only 4 zones in my ESP box. When I was on city water the pressure was enough to run the doubled up zones but with a shallow well pump installed it was different.pressure.This expansion valve allowed me to make two of my zones into four shedding some sprinkler heads for more pressure per zone. All the wiring was already buried into two lawn boxes in the ground where the valves were. Pick a color wire not being used and use that to connect a seperate wire to the valve from the expansion module. Now I have 6 zones and have a spare left over should I wish to install new plumbing and valves for a 7th.
