This kit is great for diverting water from your downspout into a rain barrel. It fits standard sizes and installs without much hassle. The built-in filter helps keep debris out, and the brass faucet is a nice quality touch.

I didn't want to change my whole gutter setup with the downspout being in front corner of house but my community doesn't allow rain barrels in front yard. Adding this meant I could divert the water into my rain barrel on the side of house. Because it has the filter in it , I didn't even need a fancy rain barrel with a built in filter. This allows me to have the rain barrel where it conforms to the rules and is also a great spot for watering the garden. I will save money on water and it's convenient.Decent quality, it even fit my metal downspouts without issue and the brass fitting is definitely better quality than some other non brass comparable diverters,

Setting up a rain barrel for the first time to use in our front garden. Our layout doesn't allow the barrel to sit directly under the gutter itself so I grabbed this to give us some more wiggle room in terms of placement. Installing was straight forward, don't need many tools to get the job done. I love the leaf filter option as well I haven't seen many diverter systems that include that feature. Working well so far! The rain diverter kit has everything that I needed to install my rain barrel. As advertised, there is no hose, which would have been helpful--but understandable at this price. The material is durable, and it hit my rain gutter without any problem.

Material quality is alright, I think it should last. What I like is the filter design(?) and how its easy to installed. Installation is no problem and straight to the point with the steps. But when it comes to the design mainly the debris filter, theoretically it sounds like it should work but we have small oak leaves which do end up with some in the barrel. So I like the idea, I'm just not sure how effective it is but it might just be us since we do get a lot of leaves. What's really great is how you can just lift it up to do cleaning/maintenance when needed.

Before choosing this item, I spent some time browsing other styles of diverters and concluded this one seemed the most promising for my needs. I like that this one included a sturdy brass faucet rather than plastic like I've seen on other models. Mounting directions seem straightforward, and I can count on my carpenter husband to do it for me.I bought my first rain barrel end of last year, and this kit finally gives me what is needed to get it installed. It's only a 40 gallon barrel, which will sit in a corner flower/herb garden at the top of a slight incline so that any overflow would soak up in-ground where it would be useful and not a problem. If it works efficiently, I may consider hooking up another rain barrel in tandem with the first one. It appears well built, and the ABS composition should hold out well for a long time. It won't be exposed to direct sun, which will additionally help with longevity.

The product fits great. We were able to get it installed before a big rain storm and it collected the rail very well. We were able to fill five 4-gallon bottles of water from one rainstorm. We don't get a lot of rain here in New Mexico so we want to make sure we collect as much as we can. This product is the only way we could have gotten so much. We love it!
