I loved everything about it. The absence of any sort of instructions or labels gave a lot of room for the imagination. The wide variety of nibs without any description or numbers was surprising. So many to choose from! I like that it came with an extra fountain pen (featherless) that was a lot less dramatic to write with. Will come in handy when I want to make an unintentional permanent mess in public but lowkey about it. The feather is really nice quality almost thought it came from a real bird. My favorite aspect about this set is the singular envelope and sheet of paper pre-designed with the Eiffel Tower and quote “I want to travel Paris” as the header. I decided to try everything out and use that 1 single small sheet of paper for something keepsake and sentimental. Figured I’d keep the theme going by writing a poem to the only Paris I know of that I would want to travel, following in the footsteps of Rick Solomon. Ms. Paris Hilton.

The set comes in a heavy, sturdy, decorative box. Includes a wide variety of nibs. Beautiful pens and wax sticks with a really nice, heavy stamp. The ink is in a jar so it will eventually have to be refilled, but that is the only maintenance besides cleaning your nibs after each use. This feels very "old school" and just vintage. Beautifully packaged and would make a perfect gift for anyone interested in calligraphy. A really beautiful set!

If you are looking to get into calligraphy this is a great set to try ! Comes with lots of nibs, a beautiful calligraphy pen and more !I do wish it came with more letter writing paper and envelopes but overall a great kit !

Totally worth it! My daughter is an aspiring author and so was given this as a reward for passing a hard quiz she had in language arts. She's 15 and absolutely loved this.

I own several dip pens but ordered this one for its variety of items in the set. Both pens work very well, and the variety of nibs is grand. I thought the ink bottle was really small and probably wasn't going to last long, but it has. The ink goes a long way. The wax seal items are pretty and worked well for me also. But the wax melting spoon handle gets hot if you aren't careful. It was hard to get it hot enough to melt the wax, but not so hot that it was too hot to handle. I want to purchase a pretty pen holder and ink well to go with it now!
