I Purchased the longer tube to replace the 10 inch one that came with my 25 foot-long gravel vac I have a 55 gallon tank with sand as substrate and it was very hard not to suck sand during substrate cleaning up the vacuum and into the sink so I thought by getting a longer one that would help And it did 100% however a standard 55 gallon is not that deep so the hose going into the top of the plastic tube will bend if you’re not using two hands that’s the only reason why I gave this product a three star other than that very well-made works very well as it should for the price

This works really well for our 37 gallon tank (we bought a longer gravel tube seperately). It does suck up a lot of water so best to be quick when cleaning the tank.

Original Python came with a 12" vacuum, worked well but we have a 24" tall tank, tired of having to get my arms wet. Ordered this, unscrewed the old one and connected this extension, works wonderfully. Makes cleaning gravel and weekly water changes a breeze!

If you dont have the python system to use this with i highly recommend getting it.This siphon works perfectly for my 75 breeder.I only have one issue with it. The hose. That is thats its very large and the hose will kink if you do not hold it. On top of that when soring it if the hose is bent at the top it will cause the hose to crack. I solved both of these issues by going to ace and getting a spring that was just large enough to fit over the hose and plastic where it connects. I will be recommendingthis to python.

I have a tall 45 gallon hexagon shaped fish tank and so I am glad that I got this added piece to my Phython No Spill Clean and Fill set. It attaches easily and I do not have any problem with it.

Can't live without it with a 180 gallon tank. Turn the value one way and water comes out to clean the gravel and do a water change. Turn the valve the other way and it puts water back in the tank. Easy to use and very valuable to the aquariest (sp).
