I have been using this to play the older type games such as Dig Dug, Pac-Man and Galaga and it has been working well. I love the retro look and is pretty heavy duty. I have had it over 6 months, and it is still working! Can't wait to try it out on Joust.

There is a nice click inward but not a nice click out when you press a button. Reminds me of super old arcade cabinets. Maybe this is still normal, idk, what I do know is that modern controllers for competitive player have mechanical switches, and the ones I use have a precise click in and out, and they're not very noisy, unlike this product. Very ugly plastic slapping plastic sound. This would be ok for basic, casual use, but I found it utterly worthless for comp in Tekken specifically. When I hit UP-BACK, so like 10:30 on a clock, it first registers one direction and then the other, it doesn't let me go straight to the diagonal 10:30 position, which creates a problem and roadblock for combos. So when I want to do my UP-BACK-3 launcher as Xiaoyu, first I have to bring the stick all the way past the first two clicks to get it to register as 10:30, and THEN press 3, instead of just pressing down-back-3 in one instant. It practically doubled the amount of time it takes to do that one move, which is only a moment, but that's why it's bad for comp, you need that moment in comp. I had to return it. I'm leaving this review because in 2024 I imagine most people buying a fight stick plan to play something a little competitive.

This is a neat little addition to your gaming setup to add a bit of old school arcade nostalgia.Pros: Brings back the good ole arcade style controller from by-gone days. Works with both PS and XBox. Easy to setup and begin to use. Thats about it though.Cons: Is extremely clunky, it works like an extension to your controller and not a controller itself. You have to connect one USB cable to your controller and separate USB cable to a power source. Once you get it connected, the buttons are a bit confusing as the same set of buttons are used for both XBox and PS.Overall, its a neat piece of nostalgia inducing gaming equipment but now just sits around collecting dust. The only reason I didn't send it back was due to the fact that I missed the return window.

I'm a pretty casual gamer, first controller like this I've ever used, I just wanted to try a different controller and this fit my desk setup.Switches engage about half way through each button press, as with the joystick about half way through its pull distance. Joystick rebound isn't the quickest I've seen but it has practically no bounce back so I'd say that's a happy medium.Buttons are loud and have that distinct hollow clacky sound. The travel distance feels a bit deep but travel itself is decently smooth, rebound seems ok. The buttons also curve upwards which I didn't even notice at first visually, but once I touched them it really stood out. Wasn't prohibitive for me, it just totally conflicted with every memory of mashing on arcade buttons I ever had. There are cabling requirements I wasn't expecting for use with PS4 and XB1, see attached photos from the user manual. Apparently those two platforms need to have an OEM controller wired in sequence through this arcade controller and then into the console. I've never used anything like this so I couldn't tell you if that's problematic or typical. But if I had to take a guess I'd say this could be due to a licensing bypass thing /shrug.

I tried this with Street Fight on the Nintendo Switch and it worked fine. It was not as precise or crisp as I would have liked on the directional stick. The dead zone is pretty large. Feedback on the joystick and the buttons is not great - there just isn't enough resistance on the joystick itself and the buttons feel light as a feather. The buttons themselves are convex rather than the concave buttons you normally find in an arcade. If they changed just a little there it would make it a much better option. The entire setup looks hefty but it's actually very light. Light enough that I am concerned with the durability of the joystick.
