Just received mine today, was really looking forward to seeing how it would be… complete disappointment.To be fair, the material quality is pretty much on point, but, from the practical standpoint, everything fits too loosely, I basically had to stick a piece of foam onto the base just so it wouldn’t rattle around the baseplate of the helmet.Then moving further, even with the foam spacer between the rhino mount and the baseplate of the helmet, it still wobbles around at the swivel point with absolutely no way to adjust the stiffness or tighten the joint.Moving onto the most important piece where the J arm attaches, it just doesn’t hold, no other way to put it. I don’t know if they milled the hook for the clip too low or the whole attachment point too shallow, but it just barely holds and you’ll probably have to reinforce the securement with aviation wire or something just to make sure your NVG’s don’t fall off at the worst possible moment.Personally, I will be looking into other vendors/manufacturers to hopefully get a better rhino mount. As for this brand and this particular model, I’m giving it 1 star for the material used to make it… all other aspects FAILED in my opinion.
