Using it for an emergency stoppower to a building, it’s also good as a light switch. It’s not water proof, but it is water resistant. Performs at a four star level and installs just fine. Okay value for funds spent.

Overall, I like this device, the enclosure seems sturdy, and it was quite simple to install and wire. My only complaint is that there is zero clearance between the switch and the cover, to the point where you have to push and/or wiggle the case cover to get it to latch. A few mm more and it would have been perfect.

Fantastic power switch or a whatever else you need button for outdoor dyi projects. I set this up a few months ago and through a plenty of rainy days and have not had any leaking issues. There is a seal inside the housing and clear lid but it also has channel to add little more if your really want to play it safe on the main body of the housing. The switch itself is sturdy and will work with standard 14-gauge and 12-gauge wires. The button does not have a click to it and is just a regular spring button. The clear hatch really takes some force to close and seals great, the included finger screw is also nice addition to insure it's sealed.

First, it's important to note that this is a "momentary switch," meaning that whatever you've wired in to turn on via this switch will only run WHILE you hold the button. Don't get this thinking you'll turn on your porch lights with this switch. Do get this if you need something to only run while you hold the button, like a motorized outdoor projector screen that descends while you hold the power button and stops when you let go. Or you can set it up to trigger a relay (like a timer-based light that is wired separately, but gets turned on when this button is pushed).I got this for operating a sump pump that drains an outdoor shower containment skid uphill to a percolation field. The pump is only needed when the containment skid is full, and you definitely don't want the pump to run if the water level is too low.This button is very nicely sealed and waterproof, and has a closure that keeps it secure when no one will be using the outdoor shower; no unattended child is going to easily get it open and burn up the pump by running it when it's dry. The button enclosure is even designed to be lockout compatible, not that that's needed for my application, but could be important with industrial equipment.The plastic screws that join the front of the box to the back are a bit stiff to get in place, but once through the hole, they work well. Everything is nicely gasketed and there's room inside the junction box for plenty of wiring. Feels strong and should last a long time.

First PLEASE make sure before you order this that you want a momentary switch. This is not a latching switch like a light switch. The contact (or lack of contact) is ONLY while the button is being pushed. If you are trying to turn on/off lights, pool pumps, sprinklers, fans, etc. This is NOT the switch you are looking for, you do not want a momentary switch. However if you need a momentary switch (in my case for a gate opener) for garage door opener, gate opener, intercom, etc this is an excellent choice.It claims (and I have no reason to doubt) that it is rated for 600V+, the switch and housing are well constructed and can be well sealed to be watertight. The switch feels solid and gives good tactile and audible feedback on pushing. Only having it a short time, I cannot comment on durability, but if the quality of construction is any sign, I would expect a lot of good years out of this.There is no certification (UL or CE or otherwise) so it might be an issue for high voltage at inspection time. Most of my inspectors are much more lenient with low voltage applications. So if your work will undergo a mandatory inspection, you might have to rethink this.I personally think this is a great item for the price, and I willbe using this company in the future when weatherproof switches are needed. This was an awesome find, and I am happy to say that if the switch meets your needs, you should be extremely happy. Highly recommended.

I see these all over the place at work as EMO (emergency off) buttons and never really thought about using one at home. This is definitely a quality switch. The weatherproof case has seals and gaskets all over to keep the internals dry. The nut that holds the cables to the box tightens down and created a great weatherproof seal. The included screws help hold the lid in place. I wired the switch so that depressing it turns "on" the electronics, and releasing it turns them "off". I used this as a switch to control the water pump for my kid's water table. I thought they would have an easier time pressing the switch in than out, and I will most likely be the one turning it off, so I don't mind that you have to twist to reset the switch. It would be very easy to set it up opposite (the way I usually see these switches wired) so that it was easier to turn off your equipment than on.The weatherproof case has already come in handy as the first thing my son did after turning on the water was spray the case...Anyway, this is a great quality switch that will keep the elements out. I would definitely recommend it.
