This is a great large waterproof "pee pad" mat that holds extra large disposable pads in place quite well. The pictures in the ad show exactly what it looks like. It made of a strong canvas-like materal that makes the mat heavy enough to hold the pad in place, and the backing on the mat keeps it from scooting around on carpet and even on linoleum flooring. It is also easier to change soiled pads held by magnets than it is on most other pad holders that use clamps or frames...just lift up on the edging with the magnets, one side at a time, and fold the pad over to remove it. I was using one very similar to this one that has magnets on all four sides, and I do think that ype is preferable for younger puppies or puppies that like to rip and chew the pads, as it covers and holds all four edges of the pad. But this one works great with my older puppy who understands what the pads are for now and does not rip or pull on the exposed ends of the pad. And I gotta admit, it is easier and faster to change out the soiled pads on this one with only two sides to unfasten and fasten instead of four. This style, using the magnets to hold the pads, is the easiest and best type of pee pad mat that I've found!

I thought it would be great with the magnet and in case pee is missed but it went straight through it and onto the floor... more trouble than it's worth

product does work and has a nice weight to it to help keep the pad in place.. sadly the puppies just view this as a challenge and still rip the pad and move it all over the place. but the holder itself is very easy to use and clean

These are great to help keep pads in place during light use. The non-slip bottom is effective, and the magnets give the pad a little bit of weight. Attempting to pick up the pad, you can see that the magnets keep it secure. Two sides of magnets is easier to remove and replace soiled pads, although the holders with all four sides of magnets provide a bit more weight and keep pads more secure for more interested pups. All in all, these are a great idea!

It fits a 24 x 24 pad as well. You just need to angle it slightly if you want to use the magnets. It's a great product for a puppy that tends to pee next to the pad.

I didn't think I would need this but it definitely helps for travel purposes. When you don't want to make a mess and keep everything secure in one place, I would definitely recommend having one of these pee pad holders around. Especially if you're flying with your pups. Since this is an XL, it would make more sense for medium or larger dogs for sure.
