I didn't want to have to pick up a new cable, but I end up having to since I've been searching all over for a good part of the year for this cable as my PSP has needed some love and it's been the side project in mind for when I had downtime at home.This cable works just as good as the original, and I can't say I'd notice a charging speed difference, although it has been quite a few years since I've actually used this PS.

Works to charge the PSP and let you link it to the computer just fine. No issues here in that aspect. Data transfers seem to work just fine, too.

PSP batteries are a nuisance. I don't think there's a single battery in existence for them that is good. I've gone through a few in mine since I rarely play my PSP. The charger that comes with the PSP does the job, of course, but it's in-line transformer makes it awkward to use. Especially during travel.This cable helps bring the PSP into the present day. While it can't help the lousy battery quality, it is far easier, whether at home or during travel, to have USB port at the ready and to just use this cable to plug into the PSP.As stated in the review title, I've got a "Piano black" PSP 3000 that I almost never use. So, during the times I do want to play it the battery is dead (and I even remove the battery so the console doesn't drain it!!). I've only used this cable once to charge the PSP (I took the PSP out of the case I have for it, put it's battery in, and of course it was dead). The port I use outputs up to 3 amps, so I suspect the high current is what is able to shock the battery out of it's drained stupor and take a charge.But, the PSP plays fine after having been charged by this cable, and while I haven't cut open the cable to look at the wires, it's obvious that it doesn't have low quality wires since it can handle the higher current of the USB port (which is on a surge protector).So, if you have a PSP and use it, this cable is worth considering. Not expensive and again is much easier to use than the factory charger that comes with the PSP....Writing this just gave me a thought.... This cable could tremendously enhance portable play time of the PSP. Just use this cable to connect the PSP to a large power bank, and game on! Yeah, definitely consider this if you're an active PSP user!

My poor PSP hasn't seen a charge in nearly a decade and I decided it's time to get my old little friend running again.My old charging cable got lost along in a move and I just never replaced it. When I stumbled over this I knew I had to try it out, the fact it's USB has me so excited since it really opens up possibilities of where you can charge this. It removes the bulk of a full charging unit with a power plug and makes this easier to travel with or pack away.It's affordable and well-made, just the right length and does its job well. It's such a joy to be able to revisit classics from years ago again thanks to this! Can recommend!

Excellent high quality cable that works for a PSP - PlayStation Portable Console. The tip is a perfect fit and it is 48" long from tip to tip. The outer coating is the woven fabric type rather than the typical vinyl. I like this much better than the vinyl because it doesn't get sticky and gooey after a few years.I picked up a used PSP 1001 with no accessories and a dead battery recently. I plugged this cable in my PC's USB hub and charged it as I was playing with the console. It worked great! This is the perfect solution if you're looking for a replacement cable for your PSP, plus the price is extremely affordable. HIGHLY Recommend!
