These overly hard and rigid bushings are crap lower tier automotive parts. 6 months following installation of new tires, brand new upper and lower Moog ball joints, and these low quality bushings onto the front suspension of my 1992 Chevy c1500 the lower ball joints failed and required replacement in order to keep my tires from wearing out prematurely. I again replaced the front lower ball joints, which I purchased from another local retailer O'Reilly not Amazon, only to have the second pair fail again after another 6 months. At this time being an A.S.E. certified automobile repair mechanic I found it unreasonable to believe that I had purchased two faulty pairs of high quality ball joints from two different retailers therefore I dug into the possibility that the bushings were the cause of the premature failure due to the material in which they were crafted. The "prothane" material is far and away harder and less forgiving than the factory rubber bushings resulting in a stress concentration at the lower ball joint ultimately resulting in failure. Once again I tore apart my front suspension removing the bushings and ball joints from the truck but decided to buy complete lower suspension arms containing bushings and ball joints already pressed in. Needless to say, as soon as I replaced these low quality, under-engineered, crap bushings I have been driving my truck for about three years since and there has been no issues whatsoever. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY, THESE PARTS ARE A JOKE!!!
