Great build quality. The buckle is good sold metal and the clip mechanism has a solid, strong spring retaining system. However tight you cinch this belt, it's going to stay at that size. Unlimited customizable fit for the heavy lunch days. Belt fabric is extremely sturdy and strong. I have a 38/40 waist. Originally ordered the XL. It was about a foot too long (that's a first). Sent it back for a size L and it's even slightly longer than I need but pretty much perfect. This belt is going to last a long, long time. I chose black with a black metal "buckle." Looks good with office slacks as well as jeans. Easily sturdy enough to hold anything you want to hang from it. Great anchor for my CCW holster.

I upgraded my review to 3 stars. I had to order three belts to get the correct size. Why 3? See my original review below. I destroyed one trying to modify the buckle, sent another back because it was too long, and finally found my size. The belt has always been fine, but I still don't like the buckle.Below is the original 2 star review:I wanted a web belt that was 1.75 inches in width with a ratcheting buckle. This looked like the perfect belt for me and my department's needs. The belt is fine, but the buckle is a non-standard ratcheting type. The belt's buckle and web belt are permanently attached to each other. Therefore, the belt's webbing is NOT adjustable for my waist size like all other ratcheting belts I own. The belt's webbing cannot be cut for the proper length and then reinserted back in the buckle. The size you buy is the size you get. And, the ad on Amazon only lists sizes from Small through XXXX-large — no waist sizes in inches. Also, the belt's loose end, because of the buckle's design, fits behind the belt, toward your waist; instead of on the outside of the belt where it's easy to adjust. I had high hopes that this would have a cut-to-fit feature, but the BUCKLE kills the versatility of a potentially wonderful 1.75 inch wide web belt product.
