Love these socks after a few hundred miles, stance is right and the ride is great. If you’re a larger person with a larger passenger get the heavy duty. My wife and I are just under 400 pounds combined (I’m a big dude) and these will bottom out if I miss a pothole or hit something too hard. Great shocks just an FYI.

Hoping this helps anyone that has a 1994 to 2003 Sportster like mine and is on the fence about purchasing these shocks.Night and day difference . Well worth the money IMHO.My bike is a 2002 XLH Hugger 883 , it was purchased used and had some no name brand 10.5" shocks that are not a stock sized shock.Stock shocks are 11.75 inches .My bike rode like a 1 ton dually truck down a dirt road that hadn't been graded in years... horrible and I thought that was normal. Then my wife and I started riding two up and it just made the issue worse.I looked all over for info regarding my older bike and had no one in the same situation .My fear was that the shocks were going to be too long for the bike .No issues what so ever . I can even use the stock kick stand with no problems .The ride is 1000 times better and with my wife on it and the preload set to one notch up on both shocks , it's like riding in an old 79' Cadillac Brougham now.I can't recommend these shocks for a Sportster enough. It's like I have a new bike and it's almost 20 yrs old.But like most things in life... your results may vary .

The ride is better on my '02 Sportster 1200c than the stock shocks and I like the black color better than chrome.

The product works just like any other set of Progressive 412 shocks. Shipping was awesome, ordered late Wednesday afternoon and they showed up Friday about 4:30pm. Installed on '01 Harley Sportster.

One word - Excellent!I was a little confused about the listing only referring to this being one (1) shock and a couple of negative reviews stating the same; however, I initiated an online chat with an Amazon customer service rep and he assured me that the listing was for a pair of shocks (2 shocks).I ordered these for my 99 Ultra Classic and they went on simple and easy. I spent more time draining the oil out of my stock shocks than I did swapping them with the 412's. I was running Street Glide stock shocks on my Ultra, so the rear was already lowered an inch from the stock 13" height. The rear still sits the same height as it did before with the Street Glide shocks on it.Overall, the ride is much more stable, a little stiffer and much more controlled than with stock. I also added the Progressive monotube up front and sweet Jesus that made a big difference too!My current set up:1999 FLHTCUI21" Ultima Fat Spoke front & 18" Ultima Fat Spoke rearOEM fork legsProgressive Monotube 31-2501 front suspension lowering kitProgressive 412-4049B 12" rear shocksProgressive 30-2000 Bagger Brace

These are great! Best of both worlds. It drops the bike about inch and a half. I can flatfoot the bike (2002 Sportster) making me more confident and safe. I initially had it set at the softest setting and it was nice and soft (coming from 10.5" Slammer Shocks). Now I have it set at one setting up, very slightly firmer and still plenty comfort room. Now I can lower my bike as I please using a drop kit without shortening the life of my back! Great product!!
