I like the filler valve. Same as the FC-35 valve.

This thing sounds/looks good in theory, but is a terrible design. First off, the flexible straw is a no go, you look like a nursing home patient with your tongue out hunting for your straw while going down the road, plus you have to bite it to get any fluid out.Next, the storage compartment is useless, both rides I lost my gels, i mean they’re gels, nothing heavy.3rd, the splash guards are minimally effective and vibrate loose and fall off.But the worst part is the red band that secures the tank to the mount, it is a joke. After it fell off a 2nd time on my ride today I pocketed my gps unit and chucked the rest in a nearby dumpster.Don’t waste your time on this one, use your pockets for nutrition and get a simpler system for your hydration.

Folks be careful tightening the bar hardware; doesn’t need to be overly tight or it will strip the housing. Also the orange retaining strap is difficult to fully lock in my set up, but it seems very stable w/o the double locking mechanism. Bit difficult to clean, but I stick with just water and supplement with chews. All that said, bottle setup is exactly what I was looking for in shorter ride hydration. Customer service is stellar, had a question re the bite stem and Profile replied within a day with spot on info. Great product.

The FC System was an upgrade to a previous Profile Design product that I had. The hydration storage, fill cap and straw with bite valve are fantastic. Minimal splashing compared to early products. Rough roads will still jar some liquid loose as verified by the sticky streaks down the length of my bike. The forward computer mount does a great job getting the computer out where I can read it.However, the "rear airfoil compartment" with rubber band is great for storing nutrition but worthless for hanging onto it....unless you are looking to toss expensive gels onto the pavement. I packed three gels into the compartment for a training ride to try it out before race day. It wasn't until I got home that I saw all three were missing. I remember hitting a few rough patches of road but never saw them self eject. For race day, I added a Velcro strap across the top along with the rubber band. This worked well until I removed the Velcro to access the gels. The first big bump I hit in the road, I watched the top gel pop out. This was race day so I didn't bother stopping. I shoved the remaining get in the bottom of the compartment and kept an eye on it. It did well for several miles until I slammed into another patch of rough asphalt. It launched out and onto the pavement. If riding on smooth roads/fresh asphalt, no issue at all. I'm in Michigan and can count on terrible roads for riding. My wife suggested some type of a hinged cover over the box which I may explore. Gels are too expensive to be tossing aside this way.

The little strap is hard to buckle and popped off. With a little rattling from normal road conditions, it fell off and gave me a flat when I ran it over. I don't like the fastening design.

It's pretty great. Kind of a pain in the butt to clean, you'll probably want to only put water in this, and keep liquid fuel in regular cage bottles; that's what I did.In keeping with tradition, the strap continues to be a fair hassle. I did get the model with the red silicone strap, and it is marginally easier than the old style velcro strap on the blade style bottles. It's still not something you're going to want to mess with while racing. The refilling flaps are a little too stiff. If you use regular cycling bottle with the push/pull spout, the flaps could close the bottle on you. You'll want to use something much more rigid, like those camelback bottles, or a screw top water bottle (but not those super flimsy ones that are made with plastic so thin they explode when you try to open them).I took the computer mount off of mine, since I only wear a tri watch. Which is really nice, that the mount is optional.I do like using the little bento box for putting things in, like my car keys while on a training ride! I haven't used it for gels (I don't like gels :P )

Terrible design, takes more energy getting water out than it is worth. Spent months trying to get used to the thing and making adjustments to see if I could get it to work decently and went with bottles for my 1/2 Ironman because this thing wasn’t useful.

Very good for drinking in the tuck but prone to leaking.I bought this to use during a half ironman. It was easy to install and is straightforward to use, enabling you to drink while holding your tucked position on the aero bars. I can't speak for the aerodynamics but it certainly looks the part. The clip to tuck the straw out the way when not drinking is particularly useful otherwise it would be very annoying waving around in front of your face the whole time. It is simple to refill on the go, you can do this one handed so you can keep riding while you pour in drink from a second bottle (I have a bottle cage mounted behind my saddle). The nutrition compartment at the back is a mixed bag. It's quite small and as it's only got an elastic band over the top, the contents try to jump out whenever you hit a bump or rough patch of road. I used a small strip of card over the top and under the elastic to keep my cliff bloc chews from tumbling out, a simple hinged lid would solve this. The only other problem is that it is prone to leaking. The grommet around the straw leaks quite a lot. I spoke to a Profile Design rep at the race expo who stated they were aware of this and a new grommet making a better deal was on its way and would be available as a spare part for a few pence. The bite valve also leaked a bit and although I didn't really notice during the race, afterwards I found my bike covered in drops of sticky energy drink which is again pretty annoying. Hopefully another simple fix will be on its way.All in all, a very stylish solution to drinking on a Tri bike, but the leaks are a real nuisance at this price.
